Thanks! And if you haven’t gotten some yet….def put them on your want list. I reach for them all the time, even if not part of my monthly currently inked 😆
People think that a Chinese brand cant be good. I have about 9 of them and each one is perfect. They keep coming out with so many great colours too, and AliExpress cheaper. And yes, they do last long.
My thinking exactly! As a fairly new pen enthusiast when I recorded the October Currently Inked experiment with only Jinhaos, I didn't know any better. Pens were/still are pens to me. I enjoy it or I don't.
I agree! I bought a couple of 82s because I wanted some cheap throwaway pens to use to try out new inks, particularly shimmers as I heard they worked especially well with them, but they instantly became some of my daily workhorse pens. I have four now, and while I had one come with a nib that was a little rougher than the other three, a tiny bit of smoothing on some mylar paper and it feels flawless. They're not the most robust pens, I'm sure a good drop onto hard ground will bust one pretty good, but for the price I'm happy to have them out and about with me and to just buy a replacement if I have to.
I spontaneously ordered some jinhaos off Amazon because they’re so pretty but was skeptical of quality due to the low cost. Then I’m suddenly recommended this video so yay!! So excited for them to get to me hehehe
Sweet! Btw, I now have 14 🤣😆🤣 I did an October Currently Inked experiment in 2023 with just Jinhao pens so that’s when I got most of them. I do hope you love ‘em as much as I do. My faves right now are the 82 minis. Mmmmh!
Jinhao seems to be impressing everyone, Ma'am, with all their latest offerings. I like physically large pens but there's no way I can afford a Sailor KOP demonstrator. Instead, I've opted for the Jinhao 9019 demonstrator. This has had rave reviews so far.
After all this time I still love writing with my 9019. Thing is, I'm not impressed with Sailor KOP so my budget won't get a whack from that price tag 😆 Thanks for watching!
@@wildlyimaginable I've never seen a Sailor KOP or any other Sailor pen up close. They would have to be better quality than Jinhao. The only complaint I have of the Jinhao 9019, is that it isn't long enough. I prefer to hold my pen around 50mm back from the tip of the nib. So that places my grip _above_ the threaded part of the barrel. I do this because it suits my left handed writing and helps avoid smudging. As a result, the pen is only jut long enough that it ends just above my hand. I'd prefer if it had another 10-15mm. Thank you for your reply, Grace.
@@wildlyimaginable The other pen I use is a Lamy Vista. That can be easily posted, so the length isn't a problem. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the 9019. It doesn't post very well at all, due to the constant curve of its shape throughout the length of the barrel. Left handed writers have 3 different ways we hold our pens. Overwriter, side writer and underwriter. I'm an underwriter and with the page angled over to the right, I write down the page with a reverse slant. This enables me to use a fountain pen without smudging.
@@channelsixtynine069 Wow! As an unthinking right-handed person, I never realized hard it can be for left handed writers to write from left to right-with fountain pens especially. Thank you for sharing that with me. And yeh, that 9019 is big and girthy but posting the cap, that would be a straight up never happening 😁
I bought 1 Jinhao thinking I would give away to my granddaughter & her friends. I was extremely surprised when I tested it. I have now ordered 2 more Jinhao 82’s, a Jinhao 10 and the Jinhao 80….lol
That's what I'm talkin bout! That right there. I am feeling the Jinhao love right thru the computer. 🙌🏽 One can't have enough of them lil puppies. So darn cute and they actually write well (for the most part anyway 😆)
Oooh! WELCOME to the pen party! 🥳 Most pens come with their own cartridge converter that you fill with ink. You unscrew the body from the nib unit (that holds the converter), fill 'er up and start writing.
You've sold me! Your enthusiasm is palpable 🤩
Thanks! And if you haven’t gotten some yet….def put them on your want list. I reach for them all the time, even if not part of my monthly currently inked 😆
This is how I react to any Jinhao pen, they've taken Chinese pens and ran with them, I love them
And they're inexpensive enough that you can experiment with too.

Exactly! Robust is not what I'm after in such an inexpensive pen. Just write well and I'm happy which the 82 def does.
They're SO good for the price! Jinhao nailed it!
Ikr! Considering how inexpensive they are. Well played Jinhao, well played.
I love these pens too! I have a nice little collection of them and have switched the nibs out for Goulet #5 and they are a dream!
Thanks for the suggestion. Might do that.
Such great little pens. I have quite a few of them to play with. ❤
I also got a clear demonstrator one but haven't used it yet cause I like using this one so much. 😀
They are great little pens. Jinhao did great with them.
Ikr!
They are great!
82s are such a solid pen. Shame others in the Jinhao line aren't as reliable.

@@channelsixtynine069 That makes sense why a longer pen would work better for you. Do you find it difficult finding pens that fit how you write?

i love mine. I give them as gifts to introduce friends to fountain pens.
That's a good idea!

Try the FPR 5.5 flex nib in these. They're lots of fun!
Ooh, thanks for the tip!
How do you add ink to the pen ? I’m new to fountain pens

how long they last?
Still going strong 👍🏽
