I just set up the medium base package. It accepted my Artwork upload but keeps telling me my simple MP3 is an error uploading. Considering it is the song I want uploaded idk what else to do. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hmm, I see that DistroKid accepts mp3s but I don't have any experience uploading them for distribution.
I'd recommend, If possible, to try uploading an uncompressed (WAV) or lossless (FLAC) audio file for distribution. This has always worked for me!
If this is not possible, you could experiment exporting your mp3 at different bit rates to see if it's being fussy about that for some reason. (CD quality is a minimum of 128kbps so anything equal or greater to that should be fine.)
Thank you for your question, I hope this helps you out. Good luck with your release, feel free to share it with me once it's released. :D

@@LearnAudioEngineering everything worked out actually. It was the image upload that can cause the whole situation to stall. Now it's a breeze 👍
