    It's an amazing piece, but I was just wondering if perhaps you could make a demo on how to draw with compacted charcoal as opposed to vine charcoal that you used? I recently started a class and were learning about values, but I'm having a bit of difficulty using the compressed charcoal and don't know if I'm doing it right.

    hello, I absolutely love your work! Im a pencil portrait artist but I also want to do animation. One thing that I have trouble with is that some portraits/drawings seem harder than others. sometimes I have a harder time seeing the shapes correctly. I want to develop consistency of accuracy in my work. how do I get to that point. sometimes I doubt myself as an artist and am afraid to start a portrait because of fear of getting it wrong. Even though everyone else seem to love my work this is a struggle for me. any advice please? I would really appreciate it, thank you!!

    • @AaronBlaiseArt
      @AaronBlaiseArt  8 лет назад +37

      My only advice to you is to continue! Keep pushing. Keep drawing. Keep challenging yourself. Over time you will get better and more confident. A pro soccer player has played thousands of hours of soccer to get to the pro level. We artists are the same. It takes time and dedication. Remember that a master has made more mistakes than a novice has even tried.

      AG FilmWriter you can never get art wrong, the only fear you have is that ur afraid that it will be ugly, but you need to know that art is ur creation, you can do whatever YOU want with it. You can make whatever you want, draw whaterver you want

      CENTURION I feel he added to much detail
      I liked it with flatter colors and all the details coming through showing the beautiful creature
      It ended up looking like a drawing which is not what you want when drawing something
      You want it to look like that something of its supposed to be something
      Sometimes detail ruins
