We need some kind of Forum or Group page for this exact swap. I’ve searched desperately and everyone points you in different directions. It’s been very difficult especially in the US. Very encouraging to see this video and many comments about success stories on the swap. About to start my swap and can use some help. Just sent an email!! THANKS!!!
@@thebenzhouse it was great when it was still running. Unfortunately it got a little too hot because of a mistake I made with the coolant plumbing. I will resolve that soon though. Would be great if we could see what the coolant hoses in this car look like as well.
@lwandamhlongo4389 I posted all of his info in the videos you can msg him he's a great guy he can send you lots of pics if you need and can't see them in the video
I have an 89’ W201 2.6 L that I’ve been wanting to freshen up. Either a turbo kit with an original five speed swap, or some thing more modern with a six speed… Maybe even an LS. That M103 straight six has perfect compression and runs very smooth. Anything you would have done different? Thanks.👍
@hanenkamm1979 the M104 will fit nicely in your chassis and is know to make good power once you turbo them. I wouldn't go the LS route as there would be way too much to change and adapt. I personally like the feel of the supercharged 4 cylinder in the 190E. Car maintains its balance while being a little bit more fun to drive.
Awesome going through the build myself too. Should post up the build sheet. Interesting to know where he got done of the harder items. Like driveshaft and bracket
@@thebenzhouse yea M103 is a great value too, I bought my 190e shell for $450 with no motor/trans and a C203 Kompressor with a six speed as the donor for $800 so it kind of just aligned to make it happen haha. Going for the best daily/fun Benz on a budget I can get. 😂🤙🏼
@@thebenzhouse I have a 190E looks similar to yours whats different about mine is its stock engine M102 with manual transmission, Raid wooden steering wheel with after market side skirts and Kba 42963 wheels.

There is on Facebook!
Did this swap myself as well 2 years ago. Totally transforms the car without overwhelming the chassis. Thanks for sharing!
That's awesome man how do you like it and thank you 😊

Great resource, currently in the thick of this exact swap. Appreciate the info on the rad you provided Ron 🤙🏼⚡️
For sure it's a great swap I personally like the m103 but if you go with a swap the m111 is the best for sure

M62 charger in these bro. M45 are from the mini coopers 👍🏼

Yes you can do it for sure there will need to be little modification to work but I don't see why not
