Nice job on coming up with a way to move the sheepies! I don't think that's the intended method, but it worked!
The game expects you to have your flying island as your base, and IMO, it's the most convenient option as well. I don't think there's a good way of marking your ship other than by setting it as home, and you will eventually need to travel fairly far from the starting area. So you might want to pack everything onto your island (or possibly switch to a slightly larger island with room for some farms and such).
Thanks for the tips! Unless there's an item for moving the animals, I can't think of another way of doing it though lol

Could you make a platform extended off your island to use as a dock? Then you could walk on and off of the other islands.

Have you been using the sketchbook on things like the chest?
Unfortunately each use of the sketchbook requires one paper, which is very scarce early on, so he probably wants key things like the seed station first (or I suspect the curved walls would be an even higher priority :D )...
Yeah, paper seems few and far between... and we'll always do pretty things over useful things lol
I struggle just jumping onto the moving platforms in Super Mario so I totally get it lol
