honestly, you should just use the cheese board as a decor piece - throw it on top of a table with a candle or two and it would look cute - agreed that I would never be eating cheese off of that tho

I am a certified framer at my local Michaels and I just want to say first off, I’m sorry that employee was trying to push his opinions on you! That is not okay. Suggesting it is fine but when the customer clearly states their idea, the employee should be able to come up with a design based off what the customer obviously wants. Second, if you ever get anything framed definitely wait for the 70% off sale, it happens every month for random amounts of time, because the price is mostly based off of the largest dimension of your piece which sucks so that sale really helps. Or they will accept a Jo-Anns or Hobby Lobby framing coupon too if those discounts are better! And lastly, if the piece is falling apart in any way you can take it back to them and they will repair it for free! I hope this helps. ☺️
When I watched her buy that Dyson Blow Dryer and that brush, I knew she was gonna regret it 😂 $200 for a brush is ridiculous

When I need to frame something, I just add a backing and thrift a frame of a similar or slightly bigger size! Looks exactly the same as custom framing, takes 10 minutes, and will cost $3 at most.
i went to the mall to get christmas presents last week and ended up w airpods for myself AHAHAHHAH.

It's so hard in the age of influencers, though. Like, sometimes we'll buy things that appear to be a good investment, because people we "trust" give great reviews, and then we end up getting swindled out of money for something we didn't even need. Consumerism is hard to avoid in this generation. 😂

monica, say NO to charcoal toothpaste!!! it may be a quick whitener, but it's really damaging to your enamel and overall dental health :( most dentists do actually recommend crest white strips if you'd rather not spend the money on a full-on treatment
NOOO, The cheese board to put a small candle and and some make-up brushes in a cute glass jar and a tiny succulent on your bathroom counter, YESSSSS! Don't give up on it yet, maybe I'm just obsessed with Agate slices, but I think it still has a place, it's so large for a Agate slice, such a gorgeous piece!

I have those Gucci heels and they’re honestly so comfortable. I sized up though, the associate mentioned that as your feet swell the extra space helps. Just FYI.

I think that your last bad purchase of the year is a great buy!! That's because I love to read and I will read almost anything! I love the feeling of turning the pages to find out more. This is a book that I have been wanting to read and I am going to have to wait for awhile to find it at a reduced price or someone I can borrow it from!!

I've wanted one of those anthro cheeseboards for years! I use things like that for an extra little surface detail where I always keep my TV remote (so I can always find the remote) and a candle

As someone who used to work at Michaels, those custom frames that they have to send out get loaded onto the truck with all the other merchandise for the week. They are not treated well. Regular employees are given a set time they Michaels thinks they should be done at (Never enough time) the trucks are often over packed and falling over, and they don't have enough "U boats" organize the items on. So what happens is that it gets dropped in the section as fast as the worker bee can. A lot of all that is the Frames and custom ones too. Its so much worse in the holidays but honestly its year-round. careful.
Goes along with the video “not relatable anymore” :/ cuz the average person can’t accidentally blow that much money on things. No hate here just pointing it out

My parents bought one of those name brand blenders, and they have literally had it for about 20 years! They got it when they married (2000). We use it multiple times daily (salsa, smoothies, thinning down soups, protein shakes, etc.
The only reason I would spend $800 on shoes is for my wedding...
That's dumb because who's going to see them unless you wear an even dumber short weddingdress?
I was little late to the AirPods party .. but I’m so glad that I bought them. They don’t stay completely secure in my ears .. but still not having to deal with the cables is a boon! I had Jaybird freedom before than and even thought its wireless, they had cable in between them much made them annoying!
This year I replaced my old iPhone 7 and AirPods with a new IPhone 7 and AirPods. Why mess with perfection? 💸

My worst 'purchase' was a studentroom that I rented at 17 for 3 months and bought furniture for while I only stayed there for a week because I ended up switching universities... Wasted €1000+ 😅

I work in a dental office- the gimmicky Creat toothpastes drive me crazy! Dental companies usually do studies and come in to teach us about how they work. It’s so opposite to what they usually do. Things like Charcoal and baling soda are horribly abrasive to use on a daily basis.

I feel your pain-I had the same experience with Michaels & framing! I had 3 prints in a non-standard size and it cost me $$$$ for simple black frames. I don’t know why I didn’t just go online.

I would love the cheese board! I'm studying geology as a part of my degree so all rock/mineral things are so cool to me, and I've been considering getting book ends that look like that. That piece though could be used in so many ways, as a serving dish, or tray for bathroom/bedroom items, etc. Natural elements like that add such a unique touch.
