Like you said if he had been serious about crown and becoming king . Staying away from materialistic things like drugs ,women and many more , he could have been most successful king . Also these political party wouldn't try to remove democracy from the nation. But it's all written on one's forehead and it would happen one way or another . He wasn't meant to be king or rule the nation . His path was already given to him since birth which can't be changed by his father of his family members.
