SPOILER WARNING! This is a synopsis of the novel sequel to the anime Ashita no Nadja.
Minor error in the video: I say Nadja aired on Saturday mornings. I meant Sunday mornings.

I swear to God YOU are my Godess of Destiny! Thanks for translating this you are the best 😭😭😭
I remember watching this anime when i was 8, now I'm 22 already. OMG, i can't believe time flies so fast. Btw, i ship Nadja with Keith
I was a hardcore Nadja/Keith shipper for all of my teenage years!! (I feel like my fics still make up a solid third of the English-language fics in the fandom... :P )
But now I think I'd rather see Nadja carve her own path, and not necessarily wind up with either Keith or Francis.
@@kairaine wait, fic? Like, fan fiction?
Yes, fan fiction. 😊
I watch this when I was in grade 2 , when I was 8 years old and now I'm 23... Recently done REWATCHING the 50 episodes. Oh my gossshhh. Thank you for this. #teamKEITH
I would like Netflix or someone else's tv adaptation for Nadja's sequel...yes, the audience was intended for children initially, but the contents are of such importance (historical, social, psychological), that I think they deserve a more in depht analysis...which is why I would like to see it played by real actors instead of cartoons. This could also mean more people to know this wonderful show, it deserves so much more recognition! Besides, 15 years have passed, just like other franchises like Harry Potter or Twilight, the audience has grown up with the show, and a "adult" tv adaptation is everything I would like to see...But aside from my impossible dreams, I'd like to say thank you for this video and for being one of the few people active in the fandom! I've read your fan fiction too, they are wonderful!!!
thank you so much for making this! I'd never honestly heard of Nadja until about 2 months ago and many binging sessions later I've completed it and honestly really liked the ending. I found out about the novel and really wanted to know what happened in it. Thank you for translating!
You're so welcome!!!
So instead of leaving Rosemary as a villainess who realized that stealing someone's family and birthright to achieve your dream of becoming a "princess" isn't satisfactory in the slightest when you see how rotten the upper class is, left on her own terms and even earned Nadja's respect... they reintroduced her as a rotten teen that used a scam for her own ambitions as a last f**ck you to Nadja and her found family without them ever knowing.
They could've written a new villain, hell, they could've picked ANYONE else, but nooooo~ ...pick up the one character that seemingly learned their lesson and make them sink even lower because "why not?".
For someone that wanted to be better that the Duke or her uncle, she sure ended up acting worse than both combined.
I mean she left just saying that "I'm going to get my own castle" without relying on the nobilty. She never apologized to Nadja nor was hinted in the sligthest to be trying to become a better person.
Turning out she stole money from Nadja to go open a business in America is very in-character in my opinion and ties back to her last scene in the anime.
@@pureo7177 i agree.
好きなアニメです!
I don't know how to feel about Keith's character development here.... Although it might be a set-up for a plot twist eventually (him being financially capable of saving Nadja's theatre later on) or are they actually making him into something like Jean Valjean (treating his workers humanely and fairly, something like that)...
I watched the anime many, many years ago and only sort of remember some bits and pieces of it but I remember enjoying it a lot. Thank you for making a video about the sequel! I never knew it existed but it's nice to know what it's about.
Thank u for the translation... 🙏🥰. From Mexico.
Thank you so much for translating! I suppose the book's main point is that sometimes in life you don't get an answer. Maybe the author's intent is to let the readers decide who nadja ends up with unofficially?
Thank you so much for this!! Can I ask you a question? I don’t know if you know the anime Fancy Lala, but there is an untranslated manga that originated it and I can’t find any info on it. The anime ended abruptly (there were 50 episodes planned but the show got cancelled at 26 eps and the ending is very tragic and sad). I wanted to know if the manga gives us a true ending. I don’t know if you’re familiar with any of this but if you know anything at all I’d be forever grateful to you! It was an amazing magical girl show, and as a child I was traumatized by the ending... :)
thank you for this recap it's too bad it wasn't done on the show like an anime sequel to it i mean. :)
This story fills me with hope and the anime as well. That things aren't as bad as they seem and you can make a good situation out of a bad one. :)
I just finished watching this❤
thank you, thank you , thank you soo much! thanks for the translation!
🎶 *Sagashite iruuuuu* 🎶
And you also call Novel - Storybook😂 0:14 Why is it not said more about Ojamajo Doremi? Like it's not popular? (It's a pity Doremi is on this channel)
Tank you!
I am not understood, Nadja that is what becomes, I understood that she will do business to help the dondelion company with a theater group, Francis him and in the nobility and Keith and become a businessman. Then Rosemary becomes an actress, and then I’m not understood. I’m French, so I have trouble with English. What I didn’t understand is that Nadja is really becoming, in addition to you talking about her dress for a while. Is Kenosuke still in love with her;
In short, Nadja and Troupe Dandelion buy a run-down theater, and collect investments to renovate it. Francis is building a school for anyone who wants to attend, so that the lower classes have access to education. Keith gave up on equality, and became a businessman apparently focused on personal wealth. Kennosuke, TJ, Oliver, Francis and Keith are all still in love with Nadja.
@@kairaine Ohh no Keith I liked me, too bad but does he still love Nadja, Ohh no Keith I liked her me, too bad but is he still loves Nadja. Nadja that is what she wants to do later in the future ???

Thank you! :)
Omg where did you get that physical copy on the thumbnail I’ve been wanting to buy one as a collectible but this anime gets so little recognition 🥺
Send me your address via the contact form on my website, if you like, and if you do so in the next few days I can send it to you. I'm actually about to donate the book to a used bookstore.
@@kairaine Oh gosh if this person doesnt end up taking the book may I have it?
Is there furigana in the book? I’m not good at kanji yet😅
Excuse me where did you get the second part? I've been looking for it for a long time
The novel, you mean? If you can read Japanese, it's readily available from bookstores. Search 『明日のナージャ〜16歳の旅立ち〜』 by 金春智子
@@kairaine Pls. tell me who did she end up with? Is it Francis or Keith in the anime, I wish it is Keith.
With whom Nadja is at the end??
Erm, no one. We're still exactly where we were at the end of the show in that regard: lots of people in love with Nadja, and Nadja not picking. Unless you want to interpret the ending as her being with Nicole, although I'm positive that that's not what the author intended.
Where can i read the 2nd part?
If you mean this book, I assume you can buy it through any bookstore that handles Japanese books....
do you know a page where we can buy the book plz
You can buy it through amazon.co.jp, but it's in Japanese. However, if you do want the Japanese version, I can mail you my copy
