- Dead Rising challenges have been fun and this time with the help of Pokisal I was able to randomize every major story mission in Dead Rising and I decided to try and beat the game from a fresh file.
Imagine a world where Larry murders Carlito but that's okay because he walked it off and is ready to immediately start fighting again.
Here is the mod and it's a WIP so expect bugs, at the moment it only covers base 72 Hour mode.

After killing everyone in the mall, frank is now distorting time. Nothing will stop frank west in his quest to become a god. Hes covered wars you know.
The cola wars really change a man
This feels like he could distort time so bad, he could end up covering one of the world wars. Imagine the conversation he'll have with a WW1 soldier and he ask which war this is.
@@blueguy0104 Frank seems to also distort time to cover up the part about himself getting infected which means this has to be the version of Frank going to Marvel Superhero vs Capcom 3 tournament as a DLC character. He seems to distort time to erase himself from infections. Almost like making his infection non-existent.
Brian Reynolds is a true MVP for always donating his shotgun to Frank in each new play through!

Not really, Infinity mode tends to be a slog honestly
@@Ecdycis with time skip if I found the time to learn how to do a randomizer for infinity mode I’d see what could be done and what not.
Carlito confirmed to be a DBD survivor, gets off the hook and acts like it never happened.

I just love the idea of him pulling himself off the hook to just be absolutely pissed
Potential idea for another challenge: all weapons and food are "locked" and cant be used but rescuing a survivor or beating a boss lets you "unlock" one item (for example: you use Jeff to unlock the shotgun, Natalie for the skateboard and Carlito 1 for orange juice) which you can then freely use. Additionally mixed drinks like Quickstep and Spitfire can still be made without the need to unlock its components as long as the drink itself is unlocked and magazines are allowed to be carried without needing to unlock them
It's a neat idea and it could be fun to try something with this
What if there was a mod that puts Frank in an arena and he has to fight all the bosses/psychopaths at once?

I have an idea for a challenge run, bring Jeff and Natalie to the end of the game (or at least as far as they can go), like a DR1 Alpha vs Omega.
Not a bad idea, I do know survivors get hard stopped at 8-2 however
@@Ecdycis Aww man, that’s a shame since I know you can take survivors into overtime mode in DR2 right? Or at least OTR. Still though, that’s most of 72 Hour Mode so not a bad challenge (including all bosses probably)
You inspired me to try Dead Rising. I beat Overtime earlier today. It was pretty fun, so thanks for the Dead Rising content

I'd been considering doing this kind of run myself, but if nothing else you might be interested in hearing about it. A "Weapon Catagory Restricted" run where outside of bare hands and associated moves, you have to use a certain weapon type found around the mall/city(depending on game) to beat the game. All bosses optional, but encouraged. Catagories determined by what the Magazines power up, such as Sports in DR2/OTR having Battleaxe and Training Sword and Paddle among others.
I plan on doing it without time skip because I'm still learning my way through the game and when i do start the run i want as much time as i can, and the lower overall damage output for something like using the Games magazine for "Entertainment" items would likely necessitate having more overall time to actually kill, gather weapons, etc. Here's to good luck to anyone who tries a run like that.

I haven’t played this game in like 10 years but I remember beating it no problem .. I got it on series X and there’s so many more zombies than I remember 😂 I can’t get any survivors passed the wonderland plaza they just get swarmed it’s like they increased the zombie count 300%

All my time playing DR and I never knew there was an uzi in the tree, or in many areas of the game.
They are all over and can help early against many bosses
Ok, next randomizer, but it randomizes the location of the survivor and item locations

I can only whats left for unmodded is like fists or skills only runs. as for modded ideas. i always found wandering bosses to slow you down were pretty neat. or beating the game but like all enemies are active at the start. cultists and spec ops and runners with a full elevator.
There is a spec ops mod funny enough and it is HELL. I tried it with a Randomizer but it wasn’t as fun as it would seem mainly because you either die or become over leveled fast
So Frank skips the part where he goes to overtime mode without going through the process of getting infected. I would say this version of Frank West you created such as distorting time and doing randomized case mission. Everything Frank went through here, must be how he got accepted as one of the DLC characters in Marvel Superhero vs Capcom 3. I mean cutscenes would not even be in order. 50:19. I would bet before the zombies have a chance to bite Frank, he probably teleported to compete in that Marvel Superhero vs Capcom 3 tournament because one of Frank West's super move is using Steven's shopping kart. After all, Frank West in Marvel Superhero vs Capcom 3 is not even infected. If he can distort time to erase the part about himself getting infected, he can distort time going to Marvel Superhero vs Capcom 3 not infected.

not really good for speed running but I guess kinda useful for people who need just a small boost of xp is in the opening before the zombies entire the mall nothing stops you from just going the up stares to get a few PP stickers its kinda nice to get them then because you really don't go to that end of the mall much in the game

Yes actually but it quickly becomes too easy oddly enough since you can farm the spec ops
