Really liked the idea of using the same colors on all the houses. It gave the whole page continuity, which is often missing when each picture is given a different color palette. That often works well, too, when each palette is different and yet goes well with each other. As always, I really enjoyed your conversation as well as being told why you did the things you showed us. Thank you so much for doing the whole page at one time with the same colors throughout, Not many people have done that, and I might never have thought of doing so if I had not seen this video. Thank you so much!
Thank you, I love coloring along with you. And me personally I would love a list of your favorite combos for gold, silver, etc. I am still learning but one of my favorite pictures that I have done is the keyhole from the planner because it was my first time doing gold. Is it perfect…no…but for me it was a stretch and I totally enjoyed it.
You made me laugh Rachel ...your boys......I really hope you do stay around too. Me and my fella had a talk about it too .....please can your go-to list of gold colors please it would be super helpful. I have Polychomos and 20 Luminance Pencils hahahaha ...I do love your coloring it is brilliant . I am watching this at Midnight....I keep odd hours hahaha. Happy coloring xxxxx

Hello Rachel. I found your comment on colour blindness interesting and sympathetic. I am colour blind and manage by a process of elimination to guess most colours in everyday life. Not so the comments from others- especially artists whom in my own experience tend to be very callous and disparaging towards my choice of colour for my own artworks. Most Seem to me to be obsessed with the colour wheel! I just don't see colours that way and dislike the discrimination that goes with it. David.
Thank you for your kind reply. Original artwork is my only option, really, as nobody can argue with me! Colouring books are definitely out as I get them completely wrong, according to others anyway. David.
@@davidcampbell6527 Personally I think there is no such thing as wrong art, even colouring! However, mandala books and doodle style colouring books would work with any colours. I just hope that you have fun with your art and that is all that should matter.
Thank you again for your replies. Original pieces are what interest me the most, but trying out colours in a colouring book can be very useful to gauge a colour scheme or a pencils characteristics. David.

I am sorry that you have had to face nasty comments. I am pleased that despite these comments, you are still making artworks.

Whee! Fun, even if I colored my leaves green gold instead of earth green yellowish
Yours came out great!
