We have just returned from the island and this is what we found out about sunbeds not on the beach in PP: I’ve been told that the council have increased the rental charge for any business bidding for the contract. The cost is so high this year that any business would struggle to make a profit on the beds. Yesterday 11 May, they were still not up. This is the 1st time in all our years of coming at this time we haven’t used the beach and the sunbeds. I really do hope this gets sorted

Hi Alex. This video has made my day. Very useful as I'm going to Puerto Pollensa in 23 days. Very sorry to see Siruell restaurant (the pink one at the start of the video) being demolished. I loved it. Great food and great staff. The fighters were Spanish Air Force F-18. Many thanks, John
Brilliant, I knew someone would know what kind of jets these were! It looked like they maybe keeping the facade of the restaurant...possibly. I'll be back to check it out in a few weeks!
As always a excellect review of our go2 place in Majorca. We came over at Christmas for the markets and travelled to PP to see what it was like in the winter months...dead! To be fair we didnt really know what to expect but at least cafe 1919 was open. Sad to see the restaurant next to Swing being pulled, they did a really good English breakfast from what I remember. Hey, time marches on and we have seen lots of change in PP over the 24 years we have been visiting - only Covid stopped our annual visits (at least twice a year) Thank you Alex - youre a star ;-)

Six of us heading to puerto pollensa in 10 days. We all love the place so much however we have only ever been in the summer months. Was wondering what the weather should be like when we’re there? Thanks in advance.

The building near the Hobby Club was only girders sticking up on monday, the progress is huge and looks to be a substantial whatever it is. Surely not a hotel as The Galleon close by did not survive.
Plenty of shops open or about two and the weather is getting better..downside is How many cyclists?? has to be a record invasion this month

i was there in 2009, at the Illa D'Or, the food was top floor
they gave all the best rooms to Germans
my room didn't have a flushing toilet, or a balcony, i had to make quite a fuss

I have been enjoying watching your videos on Majorca my husband and I are coming over to Barcelona and will be spending about three weeks in Spain and we are going to hop over to Majorca just for the weekend of May 24 and 25th I believe are the dates we are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary as well as a big birthday and I have been researching hotels in different sides of the island all the different areas and I would just like to ask your opinion of where would be the best place for a couple to stay preferably on the oceanwith great views near some good beaches without staying in Palma or the more crowded tourist towns?
Hi Alex, I love watching your videos. Could you tell me how the mosquito situation is currently? We are travelling back at Easter but last August in Pollensa we were eaten alive😮. It would be great to know if I need to really stock up on repellent.

I will update you all about my efforts to try and get this information. I have been trying and so far after many attempts, there has been no response. I will be making a video about this before the summer season one way or another. So fingers crossed!
