I love how you show us how to save money, but still have a beautiful garden!I purchased my tomatoes 🍅 and found a pot with two plants! A top you gave in another video. 🌼🐝
Hurray! It is the little cost savings that can quickly add up. I am always trying to calculate how many more I could buy with what I save. It keeps it fun!
Thank you so much! This is just the beginning. We spend so much time out here in the Spring, Summer and Fall that it is a priority to get set up so we can enjoy. In fact, I sat out here this early morning, 5:30 am, enjoying my coffee by the fire pit.
How funny I walked past those containers at Walmart and had the same thought 😂 I sure was tempted and seeing yours all planted up and beautiful I think I need them!
You should! I have had these about 3 or 4 years and they are still in fantastic shape. I almost bought a couple more while in Wal-Mart this past week but had already spent my budget on more bargain plants that I couldn't pass up at Lowes.
Thanks so much 😊 My husband walked out and saw them in place and he was impressed. He is not a garden enthusiast so if you noticed enough to comment it means it knocked his socks off.
OMG Pam! What a difference a couple of weeks make! Snow to green and lovely 😍 Score on the Diamond Euphorbia and what a gorg display. I don't have any luck on rooting ivy. Should be easy but...
I am hoping this ivy will since it had already done it in the other pot but you just never know. And I don't know how long it will take but while it is still attached that vine should still grow and drape, or at least that is the plant. Yes, the euphorbia is so wonderful, I love the airiness of it. It reminds me of babys breath, which I have seeds for and seem to struggle with starting.
I keep looking for my seeds I got for the Dichondra, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what I did with them. I have one plant that I will try and root the same way I did this ivy.
Here in North Orange County, CA, we are having the annual May Gray. 😒 Low clouds in the morning clearing to a bit of sun in the afternoon. Makes me want to sleep all day. It does make for good temp to garden, if I could get motivated.
The gray fog does that to me as well. It is what I disliked most about the winters in the San Joaquin valley, we used to get fog for weeks at a time. That is when I learned I have SAD.
Hello there dear flower patch lady, oh goodness me,lovely lovely big geraniums 😮. Those tubs are beautiful and perfect, I do love your choice of plants for the tub s.one of my favourite ivy's too.oh,goodmorning mr rooster 🐓 in the distance . isn't it such a lovely feeling that the warm sunshine weather has arrived. Im sure winter just felt extra long this year.oh! My gardening neighbour friend gave me my tomato plants yesterday so I have to ppot them up soon. also some petunias he had too many. I have potted mine already so I think I will put these in hanging baskets on my garden shed. I have a couple of the basket hooks(brackets )somewhere.do you find that potting compost runs out so fast, its amazing how much to get through 😊. Mmmm! I can smell those geraniums as you pick off the leaves. They will love their new pots, thankyou so much have a lovely weekend. From me and my garden girls 🐔.,to you and your s.x
Yes, I am so loving the warm sunny weather. I went to a gorgeous rose garden yesterday and botched the video, I am so irritated with myself. But I did enjoy the garden and got some fantastic ideas from it.
I use the metal containers also as they hold a lot and last. Alyssum seeds I sprinkle around and is always a nice complement to any flowers. I often wonder how those over packed planters survive as there is no room for growth and they must dry out quickly. Nice job! So nice the temps finally are consistently warm. I almost have the veg and flower seedlings all in. It’s time to get back out there because the consistent warmth is doing an over shot today through the weekend 🙄🥵 they say 82 and we will have 90.
Fun video Pamela! 😊 good morning! Red geraniums are one of my absolute favorites. They are such a work horse in my garden and what a beautiful pop of color ❤❤❤ I was just at Sonora lowes for something very specific... TRIED to keep my blinders on! 😂😂 walked out with a few veggie starts, two iceberg roses and a small evergreen 🙆🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ well... I tried! 😂😂
I was there yesterday and I was a complete FAIL at not picking up some of the sad plants on the bargain rack, they I could not resist. They again had the tree rose I got last year and ended up LOVING and I had to rescue it. I wanted another but did not think I would find it again! Then the sunpatiens, were super sad looking and they had a bunch, I had those on my wishlist for this year too. I will probably do a video on the plants I got and where I plant on placing them.
I do love red and these are the perfect shade. My husband loves them, I found some petunias to go with them and put in the window box that will sit on the rail above.
So funny ... We have the same taste. I made up 2 metal tubs for my front porch about a month ago with red geranium in the center, white alyssum, and English ivy around the sides to spill over. I have a patriotic theme on my porch and though the red and white would look nice. I need some of the tubs you have from Walmart. They are cute. :-)
Love your channel! Question- did you mention if you drilled holes in your galvanized containers for drainage? If not, how do your galvanized containers drain out? Thanks Pam!
Yes, I did mention that towards the end and I put up a caption somewhere in the video. Yes, I did drill a lot of holes in the bottom for drainage. It is essential. It wasn't difficult. The metal is not that heavy of a gauge.
Your galvanized containers look so spectacular! Thanks for your reply to my previous question on drainage- I found out geraniums are deer tolerant in my zone 7b area so I’ll be copying your episode from today!

Hi there Pam. Lovely containers, I love the contrast of colour and texture.
Enjoy your weekend 😊

@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse That's brilliant! I bet he was impressed.

I love those arrangements. I stuck with one color for my pots, too, this year & really like it & either used Diamond Frost or Dichondra silver falls.
I keep looking for my seeds I got for the Dichondra, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what I did with them. I have one plant that I will try and root the same way I did this ivy.

Love love love these containers, I might go to Walmart in search for those tin beverage containers 👀
I found these where they had the dishes but different Wal-Marts may have them place elsewhere.
Hi Pam- love your show!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words.
Beautiful! Love it!
Thank you! 😊 I have had a couple days of living with them and I can say they are delighting me even more than I anticipated!

It is to cool down for us but not by much, but it will make it easier to work out in the garden with it a tad cooler.

Maybe we should plan a field trip to Hilltop!!! 🥰
thanks for sharing. they turned out beautiful!!! those red ones, wow .

Great minds (gardeners) think alike. I remembered I had two more of these tubs tucked under my deck and will drag them out to plant up.
Love your channel!

Yes, she drilled holes in the container. 😊
