@@BrickMantooth The quality of the figure wasn't that bad, much better than the couple of "Action Man" rip-offs I owned. They tended to be "Stuntmen" that would fall from windows.
Another great video. Mighty Gary sounds like someone everyone’s dad knows at the pub. “Then Mighty Gary picked up a bar stool and Rowdy Ron hit the deck.” Seaside shops always had great toys, it is true. 😀
@@BrickMantooth - 🤣 Mighty Neill and Gary - possibly the owners of Go Gay?🧐 I used to get “amazing” stuff from the seaside stores - well to my mind when I was a kid. I distinctly remember a Blue Falcon and Dynomutt friction moped. 😀
It's been my near-lifelong ambition to obtain a Gay Bob figure in the box. So it's interesting to note that knockout figure with the Gay Bob head tells me to go gay.
I remember seeing things like this at swap meets in S. California back in the day. Some of them were in bags the kind you would see as driving into Tijuana holding a doll they would try to sell door to door of the parked cars awaiting their time at the customs office.
I picture you have all your super hero knock offs arranged together, in some big group pose, like a weird, dysfunctional Legion of super heroes. Or maybe seated around a big meeting table.
I'm like you; I absolutely love knock off toy's, dolls and action figures. They are always hilarious on many levels of greed and laziness as well as ingenuity and clever "in the moment" idea's. Another great review!
I need to know the story of Mighty Gary as only The Plaid Stallions can deliver. I can not be the only fan of the channel who needs that video in their life.
Back in the 70s in Puerto Rico we had a g I joe Knock off called joey dinamita ( joey dinamite) we used to buy the uniforms and play sets for our g I joes, and the weapons, I still collect some bootleg from Mexico, I have mazinger z, with is actually very good, hulk, godzilla, king kong, they are pretty good bootleg , well made, very close to the original go nagay figures. Love the video thank you.

@@BrickMantooth All my gear and figures are kit-bashed, I love the uniforms and equipment that 21st Century toys did with the modern soldier line. I was in the military so wanted gear and uniforms that were authentic.

The fire fighter figure looks like if Greatest American Hero desired to use his powers to play Hockey.
I remember my mother bought me an action figure in black judo clothes, lilac sash, white golf shoes and a Kendo sword.
Yeah there is so much of this kind of stuff.

@@countofdownable I had a few soldiers as a kid that took some tumbles, there were no survivors.
Mighty Gary and Tough guy sounds like an amazing 80's action movie or cartoon.
really terrible animation and dubbing.
@@BrickMantooth I can see it in that 80's animation. Similar to GI Joe.

Mighty Gary also went by the equally impressive name Mighty Neil. I feel like these seaside toys are from another dimension.

Bottom scrapings have never been more fun.
Yeah, they bring me joy.
I’m trying to wrap my head around what looks to be a “Homeless Hobo” knock off of “Gay Bob” with a price tag from a store called Go Gay.
? ...right?
It's been my near-lifelong ambition to obtain a Gay Bob figure in the box. So it's interesting to note that knockout figure with the Gay Bob head tells me to go gay.
Yeah, it's a bit of a conundrum.
Poor Tough Guy. He does look so sad. And his rifle, I had several of those as a kid. Even when I didn't have anyone who could use them.
I think every boy in the 70s had at least one of those rifles.
I guess the final iteration of Super Hero Play Figure will just be a bag containing a random head and one glove.
Ha!
Mighty Gary looks like Burt Reynolds
More like Hurt Reynolds. Boom, here all week.
I wanna make a custom Tuff Guy figure now. It's so awesome at how bad it is!
The weirdest superhero of all...Piecemeal, the Patchwork Hero.
Spiderman eyes are never the same now. Haha
Yeah, it's pretty obvious why he didn't get sold.

the table is missing a leg.
@@BrickMantooth yeah, there's definitely a phone book tucked under one leg to keep the meeting table from wobbling and none of the chairs match.
I think the main pic on the tuff guy packaging might be Clint Walker from the dirty dozen.
Does look a little like him.
Tuff guy yes!!!
How could I resist him?
Fireman? But he is not on fire.
Gay Bob?! Oh my god that's brilliant.

Very cool. Knock offs are kooky fun sometimes. 😎
Totally agree.

I'd have to make most of it up but sure.
@@BrickMantooth This is going to be epic! Thank your for replying!
I so hope someone see these and sneaks one or more of them into a DC or Marvel multiverse scene!

Does that have anything to do with the gay toy company
Not a thing.
