This is probably my favorite rtr onroadish style. So glad hpi re-released it. Very versatile your not limited to asphalt and it can handle some bumps, very practical. The chassis is spot on. Just waiting on a sale lol.
Great review and run man. Really enjoyed the video. Regarding comments on running rich/lean. Does not matter if it is tuned to perfection, people will still have opinion about the tune :)
That would be basically impossible being how nitro rc Engines run at way higher rpms. The Subaru boxer engines have peak at a low rpm and short gears. But it would be awesome
Haven’t tried any other cars other than electric ones. I should probably try out other types. Then again, I can’t really drive loud cars as I live in the city and would get many noise complaints. Guess I gotta stick to electric ones.
You’ll probably have to put a new sleeve at the very least every 3 to 5 gallons … that’s a lot of runs though… and once you do it once or twice it isn’t hard at all
Heads up, Your engine is super lean. That Chewbacca sound and the pinging is an indication of a lean condition. I would back the high speed needle out to the left a good half turn or so. Also did you follow the break in procedure?
Thanks for the tip! still tuning it a bit, I had it to rich and then went to lean a bit too much. Yup I ran about 4 tanks breaking it in before going 100%
I made to my wr8 convert from nitro to electric... but a little bit expensive.. you should change the chassis and buy another chassis for electric + engine mount from entgy company + esc and motor
Absolutely not, It's all about preference. Nitro is for the guys that enjoy doing maintenance rather than just slap a battery in and go. Something about the sound of an engine revving and consuming fuel is unbeatable in my opinion.
The electric version is so boring. Just get a off road electric buggy at that point. This car is supposed to look real, so let it sound bit real too. I can't imagine myself just listening to the sound of the tires and dirt while using this car.
Don't know anything about RC cars.... why is there a hole in the windshield? so heat can escape perhaps? If so, could that hole not be in the back then?......... so less dirt gets inside the car
Good tip about the fail save, would almost forget. Sadly had some pretty severe run aways when I was much much younger ... no fail saves in the 80's

That hill climb was this sickest thing ever dude 👊🏼😭
Glad you got the nitro version brother, Sweet video!
Thanks bro👍
I am still playing with my HPI super nitro rally, which is the predecessor of this car.
Awesome cars 😁

Sick nitro is not dead
Thanks for the upload !! Nice edition !!!
The one thing that would have been even more epic, would of been if hpi could have found a way to duplicate the boxer rumble with that 2 stroke🤘
I thought about that too, that would of been epic!

Very Good RC Subaru Condition
Nice car! Thats always been my favorite rally car design!
Same I love it, the 04-05 body style is my favorite
Awesome video man! That thing sounds Sick! 👍😎
Thanks bro😁
@@FortekNine no problem! Look forward to seeing it Rip in the Future! 😉
wow this got sent! bravo
What a powerful little beast😮
Wow! this thing just EATS dirt for breakfast, rocks for lunch and hillclimbs for dinner hahaha
NITRO GANG BABY!
fantastic rally action 😀👍
Great footage!
Hey buddy I'm from Australia. Love your videos.
Please share a complete hop-up parts list 🙌 🏎💨

I live in a city as well and I burn Nitro all of the time. Unfortunately there's nothing the neighbors can do about it if you're in the US 💪🤙
whats the life expectancy of the nitro engine compared to the electric

Where can you buy parts?
Ow man I want one !!!
what would happen if your didn’t brake in the engine?
You would get bad performance from the engine or destroyed engine
@@FortekNine ohhhh
Probably heat seize if you just blasted it out the crate
Nice machine bro 🤩
Thanks 😋
How you preheat engine when you outside away from home
I like this video where can I get it from
I bought mine on Ebay, if you look up Hpi Wr8 Subaru there will be couple sites selling them

@@FortekNine Awesome! You're very welcome brother! Keep up the cool content!
1:42 - MMMUuuuUuUuUuuuuuuuuu... 🐮🐮🐮
Did you actually leave it running for 2 tanks of fuel ? 😯
Would love to see a build converting this chassis to electric
I made to my wr8 convert from nitro to electric... but a little bit expensive.. you should change the chassis and buy another chassis for electric + engine mount from entgy company + esc and motor
Funny noisy one...😉
If you think this is noisy watch some 45 cc rovan baja videos
needs a 2 speed trans !!!
That poor engine was being ran so lean.
Still tuning it a bit, I had it too rich and then went to lean a bit too much.
Super lean way too soon!!!!
Was it a drift car?
No just a rally car
Cool but sadly...electric is better

I agree its all about preference, Both sides have their pros and cons. For me anything remote controlled is awesome 😁

I much prefer electric on all cars EXCEPT for rally cars. The sound, smell and vibrations really make nitro rally cars feel like the real thing.

It's for the intake so air can get in easier in it 😀
@@FortekNine right! thanks......
but there sure also gets dirt in! 😀
