@@medinasrosarioz4543 although my statement was brief, I think I gave my reasons why I like this judge. She is dealing with a woman who has both broken the law and been convicted, but is NOW breaking the law, again, by violating the terms of an agreement that she signed. Instead of throwing the book at her and sending her to prison (where she rightfully was sentenced), THIS judge is not only giving her a chance but she is being compassionate. She's explaining the situation, the consequences (both the extension of probation AND what will happen if there's continued refusal to follow the law.) AND on top of all that, she's lining-up resources and providing personal perspective and guidance to help this woman be successful.
All you have to say is "No"?
Who are you? Are you the one selling dope to the defendant? You're worried about your money being cut off?

I never felt more powerful as a woman than when I told my underperforming fiancé, “I carried and dragged dead weight with my ex, so I’m not afraid to tell you to light a fire under it or leave. I will NEVER carry another man!!” We were 400 miles apart while I was in grad school taking 16 credits a semester (8 is full time) with a baby and he didn’t want to finish his nursing degree by attending college full time! So I told him to fish or cut bait, and he fished, because he knew I wasn’t joking. Women don’t like supporting everyone in their lives without getting support in return, but they are also too needy and are afraid of being alone. When a woman is needy, she doesn’t attract the right kind of partner and tends to end up with high maintenance partners who won’t focus on her. Learn to be alone first, ladies! Your lives are much better alone than dragging an unworthy man around.

It was nice of the Judge to explain how you can cut family out of your life; by sending cards, etc.

I remember when SF was a beautiful, elegant, metropolis without compare...fabulous stores, restaurants, bars, hotels, weather, you name it. The devolution of that city over the last several decades is one of the saddest things I've ever witnessed.

Judge Boyd is so wise. Women try too hard to stand alone these days. Not just women, actually, but everyone. So many people try to be a island of their own, but we ALL need somebody. I recommend Jesus, as number one; but we also need a tangible support system too. I hope this young lady does well.

If I was ever going to appear before a judge and there was video available, better believe I would study that person before showing up. I mean, I guess if you follow the law and the guidelines of probation in the first place, that would work too.

These young people, make a mockery of the court system. I drank into my forties. Worked for 36 yrs. Stopped at 45. Been sober over 30 yrs. This young mother, has 2 kids,
going into their teens. She isnt capable of caring for their needs. Whatever decisions u make, when young, have an impact, when u get older

She's right. No harm in cutting bad family loose. I had to release myself from my entire family of addicts. I was afraid their shenanigans would cause me to lose my nursing license. They only wanted what they could get from me. The irony is that their children, who are adults, have a good relationship with me. My family isn't an issue any longer as all of them have passed away from complications associated with their lifestyles.

I have had serious medical issues since 9yrs old, nearly 40yrs on and on multi pain meds & surgeries done. .. people suggested I take/smoke weed instead, my answer I'd rather take what doctors give me & keep my son. Or even reduce meds to keep custodyof my son. As he means more to me than my pain, suffering, life. ?*sadly my ex doesn't feel the same for our son😪 -His loss as our son is lovely & kind & a gift/blessing)
