I found your channel a few days ago. Really great content and presentation. I’ve been using GPT since it came out. The amount of progress as been simply amazing. I grew up with dyslexia, diagnosed back in the second grade. Undiagnosed all these years with ASD and ADHD. I’m 45 now but I have a completely new outlook look on life as barriers are being lifted for me. I can’t stress enough how incredibly fast things are about to change in the next few years for anyone who is willing to learn and explore. =]

💥 I use the Chatgpt Voice model 4 for 1 year now. Hands free. It looks like people didn't know it already existed on their phones. The new Chatgpt 4o is just an update for the older version adding a camera, and better voices. The problem is that people always used it only typing. They didn't know it had voice. 😅😅

@@DihelsonMendonca It is new, though. The current voice is just a TTS. It can't catch nuances in the voice, it can't sing, nor can it change drastically the way it talks like the new voice.

The camera icon is what I'm looking for when checking to see if I got the new model. However, I wonder if the new voice model will come before/separately from the vision model? If that's the case, the camera button won't be there. They could at least send us a notification or something lol

So I have 4o and the gpt plus subscription. I use the voice now (which apparently was a thing for months, but i didn't know). Now im just waiting for those 3 Omni Powerups in the next few weeks😎

I can't stand companies that announce features long before they are released (and unfortunately, Google and OpenAI have made it a habit), it's really frustrating... what can I say? I can't wait to what is coming, Her is the way Sam Altman comprehend that that's the way humans should interact with computers, just by having a conversation. If it becomes popular you could interact like that with smart appliances.

They absolutely did. "Over the next few weeks we will be rolling out these capabilities to everyone" Seems pretty straight forward and honest to me.
I'm from Europe, still can't see any camera button.. maybe that will change..., I updated however this is still 3.5 maybe a touch quicker that's all...
It's like wwdc...they announce ios/ipados/macos updates but they are available from September onwards...

Mine sings and speaks in different tones including sarcasm,the vision is the only thing not available yet
They've also not shipped memory function, announced back in February

I have the memory function. It'll say "memory updated" when I tell it something personal like my dogs name or whatever

I had never seen her until Tuesday night. The app definitely isn't there yet.
It might be just a matter of hardware capabilities of the device: in OpenAI presentation, they are using iPhones - your device is an Android. I'm not talking about iOS vs Android, I'm saying that your particular Android model might does not have enough hardware capabilities provided by its manufacturer in order to fulfill a GPT-4o requirements.

They have released free tier GPT4 today. Yesterday I asked and it was 3.5, today it says GPT4. But I am not sure that is GPT4o
Ask when it's latest update was. If it's Jan 2022 it's not 4o
I am from El Salvador, it is 5 PM, and I just obtained the version for a LIMITED TIME because my account is on a free plan.
@@RichardServello Web version stays GPT4o, and Android app says GPT4 turbo (I am on free plan). But the limit is about 5 messages, then it's GPT-3.5
The GPT-4o model natively integrates sound and image at input and output, therefore its responses are almost instantaneous, which is the great novelty for me.
Having to wait 5 seconds for each interaction kills the game.
It is pretty close. It only gets better from here.
They should have had ChatGPT sing Daisy. (IYKYK)

I think this real-time voice things is Vaporware. No one has received access to it and no one will. I think the AI on the demo was either pre-recorded or there was a person on the other end, probably the former.
I get the AI being able to detect a smile, but that it could detect that someone's hair was messed up saying, he looked like he’d been coding all night, that’s a bit suspicious.
With all the shenanigans going on at OpenAI, I would not surprise me if that demo was BS. I’d love to be wrong but I doubt it.

@@DihelsonMendonca Everyone knows about this. In GPT-40, the voice has significantly improved. Moreover, the voice feature doesn't work well in the free plan; it's very glitchy and slow for free users!!
@@Crazy_Truth Not everyone knows about this. Most people don't. And I am a plus subscriber. No problems of glitches, and rarely a cap in the conversations. I'm still waiting for 4o, though. 👍

Really nice to see fellow black women in this space. Hopefully as we enter the Age Of A.I, the black community will start to focus more, on the things that matter. This tech will benefit every human on this planet, I just know alot of us are to caught up in the culture, and will be blindsided by whats coming.
Well, there is a lot of white people also caught up in non-interesting stuff. But the culture is actually what drive us to cool stuff like AI and other cool technology, so I wouldn't want people to be totally independent of culture. Good culture is like a catalysator for new thinking.

@@SneetchDreamsHell yea, that's the first thing I thought about. This tech cannot be gate kept, which is why I'm not so much worried about safety, as in making sure there is open source AGI right along with any closed source, and I believe we are on track.

They DEFINITELY could have done a better job of announcing this and letting people know when it would be available for real.
