Nah fr I don’t remember much from the Donut Media content in forza but I do remember them sounding SO DEAD and just NOT HAPPY, shit was so dry 😭

this takes me back to early crew 2 when I would literally spend like 3 hours just driving coast to coast. Definitely gonna feel better doing that in this game!!!
Only downside is that coast to coast takes at most 15 minutes now 😪

I am a first person cockpit driving connoisseur and when I tried the beta for motor fest I was genuinely so glad that they had good hand movement and steering wheel range.. especially coming from the crew 2 where the character literally only moved the wheel about 15 degrees in either direction, this is a huge step up. But another thing nobody talks about is the camera movement. You can actually look around the inside of the car instead of only having an awkward horizontal camera movement and then snapping to a side view from outside the car (cough cough forza).
What always got me on the interior was either the gauges displayed kph when the settings were mph. Plus in some cars the gear selector wasnt moving.
What you didn’t mention was the blurry non useful MIRRORS

I agree, I like first person driving, but I will only use it if it's done right.

The Donut Media content feels more exciting than the one in Forza Horizon 5. It really gives you a sense of what Donut Media presents on their RUclips content.

I’ve been playing for hours now, it’s so bloody fun. Such a step up from the previous Crew games

Playing this game with a surround system is insane, the punch and detail of every sound really adds another dimension to the experience. I can't wait to get out of work to trying a bit more later today

Donut media really shines with the playlist specific map changes that IvoryTower brings to the game, it enhanced the experience so much, can't wait for more new playlists ngl

After spending a total 8 hours on the game from the second it come out and some breaks in between I can say confidently this game was definitely worth the wait the cars, map, content and new features are amazing it’s definitely a big step for ubi and I love it I’m addicted already
I bought it yesterday and spent the next 6 hours immersed in the game 😂😂

I was so tempted to get the gold edition just for the three days early access, but I remember not really liking the year one pass in The Crew 2, as I liked earning cars not just being given them

Fun fact: according to an interview with GM product managers, the managers actually called the term “Camaro” as “a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs”. In actual terms, it’s supposed to be French for “comrade” or “friend”

The game is great so far. The wheel is actually usable on default game settings too which is a great sign.

The Crew Motorfest did Donut Media some justice, especially after their lackluster appearance in Forza Horizon 5. It didn't feel very authentic in that game. But here, it's all the energy of James, with all the editing flair of their golden age on YT.
That game is awesome so far! Can't stop playing it!

Fact number 1: Did you know that the term Camaro came from the French word camarade, meaning friend/pal? (Now you do) The name suggests the camaraderie of good friends as a personal car should be to its owner. Fact number 2: The Camaro was created with the entire purpose to leave the Mustang in the dust.

The first race with the Supra kind of reminds me of NFS Carbon. The lighting, atmosphere etc. Love it!!
No doubt. Even slightly exceeding it.
I did the scenic tour as the first one as it basically toured the map which helped me. Plus there were some really cool races. My fav one was rally cross through the jungle!
All they need is more traffic (cars on the road, highways etc) and reflections in the rear view mirror/side view mirrors
Midnight Club LA also has good hand movements. That game is honestly best played in 1st person
Btw theR8 and the M3 are 1 seconds apart on the Nurburgring lap time record. So they are prey well matched. It’s one is a super car, but as for capabilities they are not far off. BMW would likely win in a drag race
It's kinda hard not to compare this to Forza. One thing I've noticed is just the pure passion. Horizon wants you to love Horizon. Motorfest wants you to love cars. A specific thing is how they handled Donut. Yeah it's nifty to drive Hi and Low car but at the same time it felt like they got the crew for an hour in the VA booth and just said "Don't worry about feeling just say the lines". Motorfest gives you an actual Donut Media video with all the love Donut has for cars. It makes you realize how soulless Horizon feels considering how no one emotes other than vague joy. When was the last time you heard someone in Horizon scream out that a car is badass

Didn't expect much since it's ubisoft, and after watching the trailers I found it just fine. But seeing this amazing gameplay and the Donut collab has gotten my hopes up quite a bit. Lovely video, thanks BlackPanthaa!
I find it funny how The Crew started with a NFSMW style story and then it was changed in tone completely since the expansion from the first game.
Not complaining, I think the festival setting in The Crew games opens it to have pretty cool visuals.
The fun arcade version of Forza Horizon we didnt know we needed.
Ubisoft really killing it this year, TC Motorfest, XDefiant, AC Game is going back to it's roots (still keeping an eye on this) this is the best Ubisoft year in a long time
I played the the first The Crew game. Just now started the second game. I looked forward to playing motorfest! It’s on sale right now till the end of July. One thing I noticed they fixed was the the steering wheel animation, in part 2 the driver barely turns the wheel. Glad they fixed that little bug. It’s looking fresh I tell ya!
Using the G29 and shifter to play and there’s is so many customizations makes it feel like an arcade in my room, soooo much fun they did so well with this game, so much to do and different every time
7:43 No, that's actually accurate. Idk how much F1 you watch, but they do turn the wheel like that irl. The split second steering corrections they have to make to keep in control of the car and the speed at which they do them are mind-blowing.

Kinda funny that The Crew Motorfest looks like just like Horizon, latest NFS games and even The Crew 2. Real king in this genre is Test Drive Unlimited 1-2. I just hope the new Test Drive will catch the magic of the older games, but hopes are slim.

Small detail I saw while driving the R8 was the avatar was moving around and when hitting the bumps in the beginning of the race he kinda did like a jump. Just the small things for and that 1st person looks so fire!
Thanks for this video. Looks like a nice game but I am on the fence for this because for an open world racer I would like to see the option to have a base or home where you can see your vehicles in your garage and maybe see a more livable world with traffic and pedestrians. Otherwise, I feel like I am not a character in a world and I am just a car without a driver or ghost character. I want to live the fantasy of earning and owning these cool cars. The game looks beautiful for sure but a bit empty other then a lot of balloons lol and I am curious if other people feel that way.

ahhh i love this game so so SOOO much... I even got 5 hours of playtest for free and all progress i do will be kept to the future if i would buy it. Crazy.
I drove around for a bit before I had to go to work and I’ll say I love this game’s rewind feature much better than forza’s rewind.
the ability to rewind to any point in the previous 10 seconds and restart from there is way better than fighting with the forza’s rewind to get that something perfect
The difference for Moterfest than FH5 is was that after the tutorial, I was hooked in for hours until finally going to bed, but with Forza, you play the tutorial and just already doesn’t have the feeling of being hooked in as The Crew did.
I don't understand why every one is so hype…
The content is great but I found the handling, menus, story, dialogues so lame in the beta 😵

@pyro934 most racing games don't have their own identity anymore. I wanted something like Forza and Need for speed. Unbound is garbage and Forza doesn't have enough customization, bikes, boats, nitrous,4-wheelers, planes, and etc.

finally got the game myself im over half way through and i love it just as i thought i would, iv been playing the crew 2 ever sense it came out and something with the game just clicked with me and i just couldent puut it down. then i found out about summits and a whole new side of the game was unlocked for me and i loved those as well it was just fun to compete. i wouldent get far for a while but eventually i got my parts grinded and was getting plat , rewards semi easily. nauturally with motorfest i was excited i played the beta and fell in love wiith the new physics and more weighted handeling so i bought it and i look foward to what else ivory tower has in store its been a fun journy.

Fun fact - that was the actual definition provided when they asked the designer what Camaro means - "A creature that eats Mustangs"

Great video. You are one of the best streamers I know. Always fun to watch. Bought the PS5 Gold Edition and played till 4 o'clock in the morning. Game is addictive. Handling is the best I have seen in a long time, if you set traction control on sport. At least for me. Cars slides to much without it. I need a steering wheel for sure. Hope I see you someday on the track and do some races. Best racing game in years. Keep it up mate. Greetings from The Netherlands:)

In the beta I played only using steering wheel and in my opinion it feels so much better than crew 2 but could just be me
Love the game! Couldn't stop playing yesterday. Map feels quite smaller than TC2, though. I did so many races yesterday that I had a feeling some parts of the map are repeatedly used in a lot of different events. We'll see how it will affect the longterm, but I hope they will expand the map.
