As a professional pilot i can say that of all people i would expect to have the right attitude for a low hour pilot, its fucking bill burr. Good attitude, safe attitude. Most dangerous time of your flight experience is 300-700 hours so don't get cocky kid.
A cautious pilot is the best kind of pilot. Imo. I don't fly helicopters but was brought up flying light aircraft and ultralights and being a cautious pilot is just the only way to fly.
cant imagine living somewhere where i measure my driving in time and not miles. i get pissed in my town if my driving time is over 15mins. cant imagine having to go 2 hours for 40 miles, here it takes 30mins.

Before I moved out here: I’ve never had someone pace me for over a mile to prevent me changing lanes, Never had anyone throw a partially full beer can at my car while we’re both driving 75+MPH, Never had a police officer flip me off, never seen anyone Injecting something while driving. I’ve see it now, and I don’t think I’m the better for it. I used to drive a box truck up to Chicago all the time, frequently in icey conditions. That was way easier than my first year learning to drive amongst the castoffs from LA. It’s some beyond Thunderdome shit.

I just got my helicopter license in LA, too. WAAAY fucking harder than I expected it to be, lol. Apart from learning the controls, which is crazy in itself because helicopters are so inherently unstable, there's all the radio and airspace stuff to deal with. Really keeps you busy.

the Rotary Wing Guys have a totally different click. we Fixed-Wingers get along well with them, but don’t rub elbows often. Burr’s views on aviation incidents are spot on…pilot error is responsible for 95% of accidents. continuous improvement, type ratings & training is crucial to staying alive
