I always take my kicks down to A# it’s a game changer for sure
i tune them to c and then put em to A4 (or just A)
I mean it can change. I mean if you have a beat in D minor you might need the kick as high as E. Depends on the key and really how it works is with the bass. Maybe if it’s a very lo lo bass something high and if it’s more midrange the kick could essentially replace the sub
Just to add
1) tune/make sure your kicks and 808 are in key including slides (despite what some say it does matter)
2) Sausage Fattener for 808s (optional)

When I do that to the kick, it sounds extremely clipped and loud.
What do I do?
don’t turn up the volume too high
how do you do the triangles at the end
but if you want to upload it to spotify you need to get your track to -14lufs, and if you mix like that your integrated lufs levels are going to be too much higher than -14lufs
if your track is getting uploaded to Spotify chances are you won't be mixing it. The only reason for a producer to mix is to make the beat hit hard enough for a rapper to want to get on it, after that it's not their responsibility.
what about limiting/compresing/saturation/and seing the loudness level ?

Where does the loop come from?
Bro always put the kick and 808 in mono so every sound has its own space ykwim? Melody is more in like stereo. Some 808s could sound weird in mono tho.
In drill this technique isnt used at all lmao. 808’s are never mono and some of the most popular kicks are stereo like the dj l sounding kicks. Drill uses dirty mixing techniques a lot and having too clean mixes messes up tracks imo
If you compress you voice that much use a debreath, otherwise fantastic video
at that time i was experimenting with my OBS settings, it’s a lot cleaner now
When i upload a beat that I made in RUclips it always reduces sound compare to other producers that makes beats like “ice digger”. On his beats is it always high sound and good quality.

I make the kicks hard. But when I master the beat and put it on -1 dB kicks become weak af.

i personally don’t but there’s nothing wrong with it
@@Ninety5 I see. I do gainstaging, then just put a limiter and softclipper on the master. If i feel like some elements need more punch i put transient processor on it

@@CestLaVie73 Yeah, Ive watched a lot of his menthods, however for some reason i just sticked with gainstaging and thats what i do with all of my beats
@@tiny5988 get vu meter (-18dB) and make kick and bass 0 on it. Then set all elements with taste.
Some say bass -10 and with kick -7. Gainstaging is also important if you use analog modelled effects/analog effects.
Disappointed, not 10 soundgoodizers on the master.

meldoy too loud and sounds clipping... not good mixed bro not tryna hate but maybe make sure nothing is clipping plus the melody is round about at -24 -21 db
the melody is too quiet lol... it keeps dipping down and going back up to 15. He should use a compressor or limiter to make it consistent
