@LeoGBA I heard that, but I cannot find an official statement about that, so I think that is just a rumor. There is no reason for Nintendo to shut the servers down right now. They are hosted inhouse not like the Wii online servers which changed owner a few years ago

You cannot upload courses, but there is no information that you cannot go online any more. And on the JPN site they confirmed that servers for SMM are not planned to go offline. Just losing the ability to upload courses definetly downgrades the WiiU version to the same as the 3DS version. But it is not "shutting down the game" nor is it "shutting down the servers"

I'm pretty sure they removed the costumes because of multiplayer. You can't recolor every costume to make sense for Toadette, for example and it'd be confusing in multiplayer.

I wish they would just add 100 Mario into Mario Maker 2. Everything the same except get Mii outfits for completing each difficulty instead of costume mushrooms.

costumes are so cool cause you have power up without getting big. and the problem with mario maker when you turn big, your character are twice bigger, and it change all the following events in the level.
@@thepixelmasters1846 I get what your saying, but It didnt bother me too much when those were missing from SMM2. I definitely think the Mystery mushroom is cool, But If I had to choose all the new things in SMM2 or the costumes I'd easily choose SMM2.
You guys all have good points. One thing I miss is all the characters like Lanky Mario... I mean MM2 has link and that's cool. Here's hoping MM3 has a full on Super Mario 2 mode and that it makes the worlds better.

MM2 is better for playing. MM1 is better for watching Ryu clear hot garbage.
I think SMM1 is better because it has more charm like all of the mystery costumes and the muncher fly minigame.
