    I lived for 20 years in CS. In the 2nd shot there are some decrepit coal towers. They were taken down and a parking lot was put in. Also, high concrete platforms were put in. My son and I used to watch the FL9-powered trains and Turbos breeze past. I worked right across 42nd St. from GCT so I took MNCRR for 10 yrs from CS. Was great!

    And to think, most of those cars are still very much in-service, almost 30 years later!

    I would love for Metro North to drive an FL 9 through the Hudson line with the air whistle

    Did they intend on preserving the fl-9 locomotives once they were retired and if so how many still exist?

    The 4th engine on the Conrail freight looks like a switcher. Headed for the Selkirk Yard?
