Spartan Race - Bled (SI) 2024 - Sprint

Second day of the amazing Spartan Race weekend in Bled. After the less-than-ideal beast course from the previous day, I was very happy that I did not sign up for the entire trifecta weekend this time around🤣
The lack of trail running leading into this weekend took its toll on my legs and overall, my whole body hurt due to the fall from the Tyrolean Traverse. Needless to say that, while excited to hit the course again, I was rather nervous.
However, as it often is, once the race started, I started feeling surprisingly well surprisingly fast and had a great time on the course despite some terrible bad luck on the obstacles - fell on the last bar of the Tilting Ladders obstacle, spear fell from the target as I was leaving the area 🎯

🗺️ Location: Olympic Rowing Center Mala Zaka, Veslaška promenada 2-1, 4260 Bled, Slovenia
🌦️ Weather Conditions: Mostly sunny with clear skies throughout the entire race
👟 Running Distance: 6.7 km
🗻 Elevation Gain: 361m
🪜 Course Obstacles: 24
📷 Course Highlight: Had a second crack on the new obstacle - Tilting Ladders - and with better strategy, nearly made it, falling after slipping at the very last bar. Super fun obstacle I hope we’ll see regularly going forward.
After finishing the second race of the weekend, I’ll admit that I felt a bit emotional. The entire experience of this weekend was a great reminder of why I love doing this - beautiful locations, exciting moments, great people, the grind, and the sense of accomplishment is truly something you don’t get to experience doing many other activities ❤️
