Dear Andy, I cannot thank you enough for all your time and effort put into your channel to teach others the art of repairing and restoring vintage sewing machines! I hope you are doing well and that you have a wonderful Christmas. ❤
Thank you for your instruction and training. I would have never been able to bring my mom's old machine back to life. More than that you taught me not to be scared of trying something new. THANK YOU!
Hello Andy, I will never be able to thank you for all of your valuable tutorial videos. I have learned so much from you. I was able to fix many of my own vintage machines but also picked up enough universal skills from them to help me with my volunteer work. I fix what machines that I can at a local charity. I continually rewatch so many of your vids and always learning something. You touched the lives and hearts of many and we all love you. You are always in my prayers. Happy holidays.
I hope you are well. I miss seeing your videos but am so grateful that you have shared your amazing knowledge with us. Wishing you a happy and healthy new year.
I could never thank you enough for your priceless videos. I have restored several machines using the wealth of knowledge from your videos. I refer to them often to refresh myself on particular issues I have with machines. I appreciate the detail and your clear, concise instruction. I really miss you Andy and pray for you and your family. God bless you.
I especially appreciate the 503a series and the motor rebuild videos. I made a drive end bearing press tool. I'm waiting for my bearings to come and I'm going to redo my 2 spare motors over again. Couldn't have done it without the Andy Tube. Seasons Greetings to Andy and everyone else. I hope your Holidays are Merry and Bright!
Mr. Andy, Watching your videos is one of my happy places. You bring us joy. I recommend your channel wo many of my friends. I pray for your health and happiness as well. Thank you for what you have done for us. Love the music too.
Andy, so happy that you are doing well! Wish the best for you even if that means no more videos. Your well being is what matters most. The video legacy you have already left is here for eternity.
Thank you Andy! Our happy places (sewing rooms) wouldn't be the same without you. I've learned so much and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every video. We love you Andy! Wishing you the BEST!
I smile every time I hear another RUclips sewing machine repair person mention your name. What a blessing you have been. God bless and keep you. Thanks Andy!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I really appreciate all of your wisdom and knowledge you share through your videos. I have learned so much this year from watching them. I have a new appreciation for vintage sewing machines ❤️.
Dear Andy, so happy to hear from you. Wishing you all the best. Get and stay well/better. Never have I posted anything on RUclips even though I have been on since 2006. You and your work is so much appreciated. Because of you I have shipped my 503a and my 127 from Florida to Germany where I live now. Have a Blessed Christmas and a wonderful and Happy New Year.
Thanks so much for all the help and encouragement that you have given to us so that we can help these older machines come to life and be used again. 👍👍👍❤️🇨🇦
Andy, I wanted to pop back on here to wish you a Happy New Year! Your videos have been a source of laughter and knowledge for so many years. Thoughts and many prayers to you in 2023. Marsha
THANK YOU for teaching me how to repair, mantain and know a lot about Singer sewing machines. In my memory as a child my mother is using and taking care of her italian Model 237 my father bought in Chicago in 1972. Now my father is in heaven and my mom is a beautiful little girl (because of dementia) but luckily is here with me. Always thinking about your amazingly detailed explanations of parts and mechanisms. Thank you always!
There's nothing I can say that hasn't been said - but it all deserves to be said again! Thank you for who you are, what you've done and the lasting gifts you've given us. Your channel is a RUclips Treasure, and you are not just a national treasure, but a wonder of the world. I look over the body of you work and marvel. I hope you and all of yours have a wonderful festive season and that 2023 proves to be a happy, healthy and prosperous year for all of you. Much love - from all of us I'm sure... Megan (and Clark) ;-)
I am an eighty year old woman. I have been servicing and restoring singer featherweights since 1996 when I got my first one (OJT) 😂 a couple of years ago I discovered your channel and have been able to expand to the 401A and the 501A machines I’ve even done a few 636 touch and sews. I also teach classes to featherweight owners on how to clean and maintain 😊their machines. You’d be surprised at how many ladies are afraid they’re going to hurt their machines. I try to take their fears away and show them that by proper maintenance, they’ll get more enjoyment from their machine and extend the life of the machine as well. Love your videos I love your step by step instructions. 💕
Your videos are timeless, Andy. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence and skills for restoring Singer sewing machines. I am busy using them now and they are a marvel. The needle glides through thickish corners of multiple layers of fabric. My trusty original 457 needed help in this area. Not that I don’t love my 457. I do, especially since you taught me how to get it into shape. I want to let you know my confidence of repair and restoring has affected other areas of my life. Last year, I replaced the window wiper blades on my car-no Roger, no car dealer help. Just me, a screw driver, and my car service manual in the garage with the car. This is huge for me! You are the best, and happy holidays to you and your family.
Andy you saved this old girl a lot of headaches by teaching how to repair my machine. You make learning so comfortable and not intimidating at all. As for me , you are the best instructor on RUclips for machine repair. Thank you sincerely for your dedication and hard work. ❤ 🦋 Have a spectacular holiday season and 2023 🤩
I want to thank you for taking the time to help so many people and for sharing your knowledge with humor and joy. You are a blessing to myself and everyone who watches your videos. Prayers to you . Marsha
I hope you are still on the road to recovery and will be videoing in the near future. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. God Bless!!!❤
Hi Andy! MANY THANK YOU VERY MUCH HUGS from The East Coast! Blessings for your and your family for Slidng towards 2023! Your videos are so wonderful and I enjoy your chuckle. I feel like I'm sitting at your elbow and watching every step and we know the details are important. You always explain the how and why. Know that you have many fans, students and avid RUclips watchers and we learn so much from you!
Andy because of you and your excellent tutorials I’ve been able to fix my machines and some of my friends! Thanks for sharing ur knowledge and best of 2023 to u and ur family!
Hi Andy - here's something I really like about what you do for us. My mom, who passed her singer 301A on to me, taught us that "there is no such place as away". I.e., we think we throw something away but it still exists. It doesn't disappear. It is wasted, it pollutes, it's not gone. So we learned not to waste, to reuse things, and sometimes to fix things in any way we could. Your instructions have saved so many machines (plus untold parts and pieces) from the junk heap. These machines are still useful, beautiful and loved. That is a great gift you've given the world.
Andy, I am so grateful to you for giving me the confidence and knowledge to maintain my machines!! I refer to your channel all the time for answers to my questions. You have been the best source of knowledge and there are many "professional" repairmen that could use your talent. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You are a gem! Merry Christmas and hope to see you back on the tubes soon.
Andy, your great useful contribution to your viewers restored my opinion of RUclips. Your repair videos for machines got me and my wife through lockdown, when we could actually do something productive and useful. Take it easy, stay the course, and Thank You.
God Bless you Andy, I've learned so much from you...thank you! My son's name is Andrew, so you have an awesome name too! Have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy new year!!
Just found you and your videos, WOW! What a wealth of information. I use to watch my Dad tinker in his workshop and didn't realize how much I was learning at the time. Your videos are like watching my Dad tinker all over again but this time with vintage sewing machines that I hope to rescue and use to teach others how to sew and create. Thank you for so many videos on so many machines.
I have watched all your 401A videos, Andy! Thank you for your help with things, and I hope your days are well and happy! Take care, you are appreciated!
Dear Andy, thank you for making it possible for me to get the Singer 403a up and going as well as understanding the mechanisms & care involved. I have never sewn and being gifted this machine was more wonderful than I imagined, although with no instructions or history I was lost. I cannot believe what this machine can do and I feel so much more confident about myself because I am not just confused or trying to balance conflicting insight. I had quite a fear of even touching the machine before I saw your videos on how to get started on this 403a and I cannot express in words (without sounding cooky) the value this brings to my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ♥️
You are a great resource and the Bob Ross of sewing machine repair. The sewing machine wisperer, LOL. Thanks for your contribution to the rebuilding of the Great Library of Alexandria. You have been a guiding light in the darkness.
You have helped so much, I would never think of not liking, never mind unsubscribing. My two Singers (401J & 403A) are so happy I found you. PS - just thought you might like to know 401J was my Mom's machine and I still have all the tools/accessories & manual in the original storage box, along with the very solid "suitcase" she came in and the folding table specifically made for the portable Singer machines of the mid to late 50s.
Recently rescued my aunt's 15-91 and what a wonderful gift to find your videos. I brought the machine home with the intention of taking it to a local shop to be refurbished but have been thrilled to be able to do it myself. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. The videos are great and it’s like having you right here for support. It’s been so gratifying to be able to give this machine a new lease on life and it’s sewing beautifully. All the best to you in the new year and thank you again!
Merry Christmas Andy! Thank you for your wonderful videos and willingness to help each of us with our sewing machines. I was recently given a Singer 15-91 and have rewired the light! Soldering was not easy for me but I did it! The small snap-ring was a bugger. My husband stretched it a bit (not too much)with snap ring pliers then we were able to “pop” it on. Sore fingers though from trying so long trying to get it on! Next I’m going to check the wiring on the motor. I wish you well this coming year. God bless you and thanks again!
I own a number of Singers...201, 15-30, 226, Featherweight, 99k... and recently got a "frozen" 301a. Thanks to your youtube videos on "all things 301" I was able to "fearlessly" tackle the disassembly/reassembly of the bobbin hook mechanism...and maybe tomorrow I will tackle the upper tension! Thank you so much Andy!....BTW, just for fun, I watched your video on your comparison of the 404, 403a, 401a...you were very impressed with the "bushings" of the 404...well I gotta tell ya, you should see the bushing on the 226's needle bar!...thanks again for all you do.
Yes, I should see the bushings in model 226. I'd enjoy that. I've never even seen that model in person and no one I know has one. I have seen a sewing demo video and it looks like a great machine. Lucky you. I see you've uploaded a few videos in the past so maybe you could make some about your model 226. Thanks for watching my channel.
You are so appreciated and well-loved! You are always in my thoughts and prayers, and like so many others I recommend your awesome helpful and knowledgeable videos on a very regular basis. Bless your heart, hoping and praying for you and Christmas blessings to you and your family. Love (and a snowball!) from Winslow…. ❄🤶🏻
A most sincere thank you to you for your wonderful videos ! ❤ I have managed to bring a few machines back to life now with the help of your thorough and easy to follow style. I sure hope there is a way to have your videos as a reference always! My hectic days seems a bit less so while having a cup of tea and watching you work 😊 … I wish you and your family all the best from Ottawa, Canada.
Thanks so much for your videos. They have helped me in the past and I'm presently fixing a featherweight and watching your videos on the featherweight. Hope you are doing well and have a good holiday and a great 2023.
Andy---I just "won" a LBOW 301a on an online auction. There was a little problem with the clutch for the bobbin winder when it arrived, and I was able to watch your videos and figure it out on my own. Thank you so much for all the work that has gone into your video series---I can't imagine how many old Singers are still out there making the perfect stitch thanks to you.
I have been following your instruction to restoring my machine! You’ve given me the confidence to strip down my 403A, clean and restore her to like new! Thank you for your detailed description and thorough steps. I wish i could find a detailed service/parts book to get into more details that wasn’t covered in your videos yet! Hint hint! Looking forward to what you’ll post next!
Thank you so much for your videos. I've been able to restore and service several vintage machines with your help, including my grandmother's. I never would have been able to do it without your thoughtful, thorough videos. You're the best! Happy Holidays!
I just stumbled across this video while looking for anything you have on 403A which I am going to pick up today. Thank you so much for all your videos. I have learned learned soooo much from you. As have numerous others! Wishing you a wonderful 2023.
Thank you for the nice comment, Charity. I'm excited for you to get a 403A. It's my favorite Singer Heavy Duty Zigzag machine. I hope you found my "Regina" Playlist with 20+ videos for model 403A: ruclips.net/p/PLsCOZgzzaiKKyqvdDRwS-9MfLuwSNJTcg Hoping you love your "new" machine, and thanks for watching my channel.
I hope your year has been well, and I hope 2023 is great. My Singer 403a and I have enjoyed your videos. She is doing well and we always look to you for care and maintenance. Best wishes. Ps…we are the same age. Yikes
I won't be replying to comments but will read them. Happy Sewing and have a great 2023.

take care Andy, so sorry you stop this nice channel, I have learn with you !
Thanks a lot !

Your thoughtful videos are inspirational - I appreciate all your work!

Happy 2023 to you, I hope you are feeling better.
