    Sorry to bother you, I'm a beginner in tatting and it's really fun. I've just found your channel and watching different techniques.
    Does this technique automatically turns your work from horizontal to vertical? Is this technique only used in begginings/endings?; because, I can't imagine how one can form a circular piece with the thrown ring still facing upwards.
    I hope my inquiry was clear and you could give some general info about it if you have the time. Have a nice day! :)

    • @11Frivole
      @11Frivole  2 года назад +1

      Hello Xristina, if I understand correctly what you are saying, no, this doesn't turn the work from horizontal to vertical but can be used in designs to create different shapes. I often use this technique when designing snowflakes for example. If you look here:
      leblogdefrivole.blogspot.com/2020/10/snowflake-2020.html
      The tips of my Aeris snowflake design have Josephine Knots and rings thrown off self-closing mock rings.
      I hope this helps!

    I know this is for shuttle tatting but is this sequence able to be done with needle tatting? I just purchased your snow crystals pattern and didn't realize it was for shuttle tatting.

    • @11Frivole
      @11Frivole  2 года назад

      Hello Kyrston, I'm sorry but I don't know enough about needle tatting to advise you on this one. I feel like everything should be do-able whether you are using needle or shuttle but I'm not experienced enough with a needle to tell you how to do it. I hope a needle tatter can give you the information you need. Apologies also that I should maybe make it clearer on my listings that I write patterns as a shuttle-tatter. I will amend my listings. :-)
