Ok, so as I’ve commented many times, Bliss~Parfuma has eluded me…until today!! Just ordered from Antique Rose Emporium 💕. Now, you’ve shown me Leda!!! Ok, Palatine…my wishlist has increased. It’s a sickness!!!🥰
Kimberley were you ever an elementary school teacher? You seem to have the calm energy and patience of one, and you explain things in very easy to understand ways. Keep being you!
Happy RUclips-aversary!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 You're videos have been such a lifesaver! I've watched several numerous times so I can learn something new (and spy on several roses I am craving!) So many great moments in this video! I love your music choices, it gave me a chuckle. The two doggos 🥰 One spent the whole day just overlooking the water. You have some lucky friends! I hope they love the roses!! And I can imagine your next project being constructing a man-made pond to soak all of your new bare roots in 😂
Congrats on a year! I was so happy to find you and your videos! I’ve learned a lot. Also appreciated is the way you support the growers and provide other resources by connecting to Fraser Farms, Paul Zimmerman, and so many others. Thank you!
The longer the video the better, IMO. 😉 I never get tired of anything roses. I would love if you do another video piecing clips from all your orders together to compare what size you get from different bare root sellers. This just makes me want to go buy from Palatine 😂
I ordered for the first time in December! I live in Newfoundland Canada though and won't receive mine till end of April. Seeing yours is giving me so much excitement lol They look fantastic!
@@nicholletobin Hi Nichole, Will you be doing a video. I am in Ontario and I would love to see your garden. I gonna try to do a video as well. uploading is a problem. I starting from scratch. I mean right now it is just grass. I don't even have trees.
@@PreservingMyOasis i love watching all the gardening videos but don't have the first idea of how to make one or upload it lol I absolutely love gardening though and perhaps someday I might learn and share my space ♡
Love love your unboxing videos. It is in fact better watching your unboxing than my own because I have to plant the , that's a lot of labor involved here ! I just received 7 huge David Austin roses which will be put in 10 gallon pots in a little while. These palatine roses are HUGE, I can't imagine the work load for planting them... but for the love of the roses...we'll just do it, LOL!
I would love to see a video of you going through every rose - I've been waiting for your Palatine order for months now. Can't wait to see all the amazing varieties you got!
Wow, wow, wow! Those bare roots look amazing. Now I wish I would have ordered more from them. I only got 4. Can't wait to see if mine will be a big as yours. I'm hoping.
You are lucky girl. I had written down my 21 roses that I wanted to purchased. Like you, I was waiting in the queue, number 682. It went fast and I was in. Before I could click on the roses of my list. It kicked me out and put me back into the queue 1131. After 45 minutes I got in again and I finished my order. Unfortunately some of the roses I had put in my cart were already sold out when I was kicked out. I only got 15 roses in total. I should get mine on April 26th. I am so not ready for them. I will need to put them into pots. I need to rent an excavator to make my new gardens. I have 2 acres and I need to run water and electrical line first. I think I bit more than I can chew.
Palatine has always been very kind to me. It is too bad you never got to experience Pickering, which Palatine has essentially replaced. They had every rose imaginable you could commonly buy from the UK. As for your channel, I have largely ignored all roses channels on RUclips. I have never found them useful. I have volunteered my time to HMF since I was a teenager and consider giving the utility of information to be the best thing we can do to support rose culture. You give people a great utility and its done in such a clear way, so thank you for doing this. It's really cool. I didn't see if you received Broceliande, but if you did, please review it. Your climate is very similar to mine, despite being on opposite coasts.
OMG...I changed my mind...I do not want a Business! What a Nightmare...I think I will just enjoy what I have, and wait for pretty pictures of the Best...which won't be for me! :) ......These are the March Horrors! LOL
My biggest Decisions is do I wear shoes or not...which means Walking, or not! LOL....I do envy your Youth, I do! I hope to see you when you are Old...which means I might be in the Garden! :) ....I gotta go, I am going to go Cry! LOL
Congratulations on your one year! You’re just delightful and informative . My wish list was/is sold out at Palatine😢. So meanwhile home depot and lowes have now their roses. I bought 10. Im not a rose snob. I just love a body bag hee he.
Really enjoyed watching your videos and thanks for sharing your rose passion. As for Palatine, I wouldn’t recommend this company as it was almost a waste of time to try. I live in the west coast, set my alarm and got up really early to wait for their site opening- everything sold out before I even had a chance to order! Several of my rose loving friends here also experienced the same thing! Obviously something is not right….Perhaps you should mention this in your video to let your viewers know the true about this site’s so people don’t waste their time and effort in trying to order from Palatine
@@TheRoseGeek yes, we all got up before 6:00 am and waiting in front of our computers… it might be a better system if they give out numbers in the queue instead of letting everyone in the same time and see got lucky to grab their very limited supply, or maybe they should do auctions and see who wants to pay the highest prices. Hopefully you can relate the messages to them. Thanks!
I forgot to add, a lot of those grafts are really short, which is preferable in most climates. Less wasted space around the most fertile level of the soil. Long grafts miss this vital soil space.
I wonder how you can order 52 roses with all that waiting room and limit 1 per household rule from Palatine. Did you have a special deal from them? And my bare root roses from them are definitely not as big as yours (50%-75% in size and numbers of canes)
Yeah, the waiting room kicked me out. I swear some people could order beforehand somehow. It would be nice if they change their process a little next year.

It (Palantine launch) wasn't great for me. For those of us that work full time, we can't sit in a waiting room during the business day. By the time I got on the site, all of the roses on my wish list were gone. So disappointing.
When does Palatine release their inventory for the '25 season and when are you allowed to place orders. I think it's sometime in December for ordering but not sure. I heard some roses sell out quick.
Some roses do sell out within minutes. In years past Palatine opened for orders the first weekend in September. The last two seasons, I believe they decided to open in early December after they complete the field counts. They don't announce the exact date so that the site doesn't crash. I will be watching the Palatine social media (Facebook and Instagram) for announcements. I will also try to post on my Facebook when the ordering season opens.
@@TheRoseGeek Thanks. I've never ordered from Palatine before. When I checked their site for info, it seemed like they release their inventory they'll be selling before they actually start accepting orders, but I might have misread. I know High Country sold out some varieties quick when they opened in January because a rose sold out that I had in my cart while I was looking and deciding what others I wanted so you've got to be quick on some of the rare old garden roses.
Congratulations on your Anniversary!
I think those are some of the best bareroot roses I've ever seen. Bonny
I've been on hiatus so this is the first video I've seen in quite awhile and it was like spring came early.
Impressive, whatever the growers at Palatine are doing, they’re doing it right! They all look amazing!
