Nostalgic. I was 19 years and in college. Those days of non multiplex tickets use to be sold in black. It was AR Rahman's first hindi musical score. This is the only movie where I returned without watching the movie first day last show as black ticket prices were very high. Watched it next day. Very nostalgic today. I watched rangeela like 25 times in vcd and DVD. I am 46 now father of two teenage daughters. Those times are golden memories which will never come back.
Love the way Amir tried to make Jackie feel comfortable by getting him in the conversation. And first time I saw Rahman so interested in an interview😂 he is clearly in the company he loves

Very much true but despite having so much of techno music back then I somewhere feel it’s a saving grace to not have RUclipss and Instagrams at that time. We celebrated music the way it was then through the lens of these social media metrics.
In fact, one of the songs which Udit sang was already done in South for a Telugu movie where the female singer is still the same! Anyway, this is not those typical hindi albums where the singers combos are more talked about than the composers. The only exception here is Asha Bhonsle who crooned the title song so magically. Ofcrs, the way ARR mixed her voice in the title track where she shouts Rangeela re is iconic!
