    Great video. Very helpful for me. I'm doing the same exact job on a 2014 Jetta. What part did you use?

    What tool do you use to loosen the screw that holds the glass

  • @royquesada5295
    @royquesada5295 Год назад

    Confused on turning 'left on loosening? I know of very rare occasions on anything that you would turn 'right to loosen. So on those inverted torx, you turn it to the right (clockwise).

      This is the one time. VW, Audi have the screws installed from the other side. It will be reverse from inside the door.

    • @royquesada5295

      That is true. But you say in video, turn to the left, counter-clockwise. The wrench may rachet left, but the inverted bolt turns right.

    “The screws are there, there and there.” Could you show the screws? I don't see the screw by the inner door handle.

    They are not 4mm, while that may work for some, if that bolt has seized it will not work. They are an external Torx bit so to avoid stripping it you should use an external torx socket

      That's the only thing I have to say. Other than that this tutorial is perfect.

      Absolutely correct. a 4mm deep socket is what we use.

    The 2 bolts holding the window on the regulator for this is on the inside and not the outside how do I remove these?

    • @PowerUpAuto
      @PowerUpAuto  2 года назад

      4mm socket. Watch the video again at timestamp 1:59 thru 2:30.

      @@PowerUpAuto you are right! tried the 4 mm socket and its just spinning though. Might have to take it in to get checked. Thanks for the very informative video though

    Driver side window will go down and starts to creep closed by itself or won’t close at all, tried changing the switch to no avail. How will I know wether it’s a regulator problem or motor problem? Thank you!

      Motors are pretty reliable. Probably the regulator. If you want to bring it to Florida glad to check it out.

    My window is down, can you recommend how I can move the window up?!

    • @PowerUpAuto
      @PowerUpAuto  2 года назад

      If you have watched this video you should be able to remove the door panel to get the glass up. If not do a web search for power window repair and whatever city you are in and you should be able to find someone to do it. OR, come on down to Florida. Glad to help you with this. Scott

    On German cars sometimes Left is to tight, just be mindful to not ruin anything.

    • @PowerUpAuto
      @PowerUpAuto  11 месяцев назад

      No Right is tighten everywhere. These are put on from the other side at the factory.

    4mm? No dude you need a
    E4 E5 E6 to remove the glass. 4mm IF you can find one will fuck it up

      I've only done this for 30 years, you'll need to be patient with me. We only work on windows and locks. Never had a problem. 4mm comes in most socket sets and seems to work just swell.

      I believe you are correct. The wagon is a different regulator.
