So sorry if this isn’t as large as my themed projects usually are 😭 I’m not used to making small projects but I didn’t have the time to make larger projects this time around so it feels like i didn’t make enough for this theme but i’m definitely going to make more in the future
You don’t need to make huge projects every time. You’re the only one doing it. It’s not necessary for you to pressure yourself so much. For most of us, the projects in this video are more than enough. 🧡🧡🧡
I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that Coraline came out back in 2009. 😭 I was so excited to see a Coraline themed video! I like that they also stand on their own as fun whimsical pieces. Enjoy your trip!
I just wanted to say that next to the amazing crochet and knitting content I also really adore when you talk about series and movies you watched or want to watch and which games you want to play or streamers you enjoyed. I truly love hearing you talk about your joys and comforts it helps me so much in my everyday life ❤ I am looking forward to every single one of your videos 😊
I knit coraline gloves about a year ago. They were stunning, they weren’t perfect but I loved them dearly, especially cause they were the first gloves I ever knit, and then I lost one of them. But this motivated me to make a new pair!!
all the pieces are amazing! for the spiral bag you could add a sailboat and kite charm, maybe other items that are similar to children's toys because at the end of the film when Coraline is escaping the Other Mother there are items in the tunnel like a toy sailboat and I think the strings from a kite
Omg, yes please make more Coraline content, I love your style so much and Coraline is my favorite movie!! Currently working on a Coraline doll pattern kit my boyfriend got me and I can’t wait to try the patterns in this video!! Also with the swirl bag maybe crochet a spider web and like hang it over the bag or something since the portal has webs 💜💜💜💜💜💜
A few tips, not that I am an expert, but if you move your color change to the middle of the row you knit. I don't know if I can explain it, but you cast on and knit a row, or two, then so the cords aren't splitting at the same spot all the time and causing laddering, you then keep knitting half a row more on the same needle after the color change and then switch and then knit half the number of stitches on the other needle and then change to the first needle for the rest of the half. I usually just knit one more, or one less stitch every row, so it is always changing where the needles change. You can also use 2 circular needles to avoid the magic loop method. I like DPNs for small projects and just use tip protectors to keep my stitches on them, but still move where you change needles. I love your videos and whatever you post is enough. You are allowed to have a life. Thank you!
IKOOOOO IM SO HAPPY YOU DID THIS I know you’ve been wanting to for the longest time and it’s such a great way to celebrate the 15th anniversary!! I adore you so much and I’m wishing you safe and memorable travels in Japan!
I really love your design sketches in the beginning! Such a great way to show your creative process and it's really inspiring for anyone who wants to get into designing their own projects. Regarding the internal struggle of whether to duplicate the actual gloves or make them fingerless so you wear them more often, I am a big fan of half-finger gloves! I like how individual finger holes make the gloves feel more secure on my hands but I also need bare fingers to DO things. I also love how you embellished the granny square bag, those details really solidify the design as being Coraline inspired rather than "just" celestial (which is an adorable look but not the point here).
They all came out so cute! I love that spiral bag look... it did exactly what you wanted to replicate the "tunnel." I loved all three items honestly! I enjoyed them all and it's great that you learned throughout this time. Have a safe trip! ❤❤
🧤 *Caroline's gloves* Ahhhh the gloves look way better knitted than crochet tbh. 👜 *Crochet bag 1* l love the stars on it and the dragonfly 🥺. 🌀 *Swirl bag* I love the swirl bag it's so cool, I never knew you could even crochet swirls 🤔. 💖 It's totally okay if it's not a tutorial, you're still learning new things about crochet and knitting all the time. 👑Stay Cool Queen 👑
Thank you for another great video IKOXUN!!! Me and my 8 year old daughter have been watching Coraline on repeat lately; she watched it four times yesterday 😂😮
I love the swirl and star granny square bag, the little charms and the dragonfly pin make it so cute!! Also I hope you have a great time in Japan and a safe trip!
I'm back! To tell you that you inspired me to make my own fingerless gloves. I finished the first one this evening. I've knit in the round before, but this is my first stab at gloves. I solved any potential fit issues by making the whole thing k1p1. (Also makes the inside texture more pleasant, in my opinion.)
I lost my colorwork fingerless mitts between last winter and now and I’m so sad but your fun fingerless mittens have given me the inspiration to makes some new ones!!
I love fingerless gloves much more than ones with fingers. If you want a stretchy cast off, knit 1 and purl 1, then cast off one stitch, then [knit 1 and cast off, purl 1 and cast off] till you get to the end of the knitting. it makes it almost as stretchy as the ribbing before it.
AH I LOVE YOU VIDEOES SO MUCCHHH! I love you you show us the process as we follow along with how you make it and everything that goes on including failed attempts
I think the granny square bag in particular was expertly done! Even if I wasn't familiar with all the bits and bobs included from the movie, I would still come over and compliment you on such a beautiful bag. And I also keep choosing to make fingerless gloves on the basis of I just like having the ability to actually do things. Sure, my fingers are cold, but my whole hand isn't cold from taking them off all the time to do basic things. lol
Love your projects and love your skills!❤ But what i admire the most is that you finish all your ideas! I guess YT makes you accountable😂 I have a pile of unfinished projects and on a daily i get inspired to make new!
AAAA you did such an amazing job!!! such beautiful designs and you can really tell that you worked super hard on them. your editing is so lovely too, I always feel so cosy and entertained when watching your videos! Really irrelevant but, I can't help but notice the books behind you! They look really interesting and I wanted to ask if you'd ever do a book haul/review. I like very similar media to you and I imagine a lot of other people (including myself of course!) would want to know what you read and are inspired by and what you consider good! Completely fine if that's not something you would be comfortable with or add to your channel. Either way, LOVELY video!!!! Have an amazing time in Japan!!!
I love all the pieces in this video! I hope you have a great trip, and gets lots of yarny inspiration while you're there!! And I'm a Halloween all year kind of person, so I'm gonna hope we just get an extended Halloween season on your channel.
I have begun making my first pair of knit gloves and I discovered that you can embroider metallic thread into the finger of the gloves and that way it's touch screen capable. I bought a tiny spool on Amazon for it 😅
How do you hit the nail on the head every time?! Yes, as humans we make mistakes, but the way you handle yourself in the face of mistakes is inspiring. I’m a SAHM who luckily gets to crochet for profit, occasionally, so I relate to you in some ways and I appreciate what you do 🖤💕🥰✨🧶🍂🌙🎃
For knitting a small circumference, there's another option which I really like. Use two circulars of the same size. You just treat each side as flat and then switch to the other needles for the other side. I'm sure there are videos on how to do it. And for laddering...while that does happen when you have very few rows between yarn/color changes, a tip to make sure it's not tension related is to pull the second and third stitch fairly tight on each needle.
I personally think of the star sweater and the orange and green gloves when I think of Coraline!! Probably cuz I really wanna make myself both of those haha XD
I plan to make the polka dots pjs (if I can find the material as close as Coraline’s as possible), her gloves and perhaps her yellow/orange tee shirt. Im with you in regard to making the gloves fingerless, for accessibility purposes. Good choice/decision, well done .
Hey girl! There's NEVER any pressure or time pressure for you here, alright? 😊 If ever you need more time between uploads, you can always post some COOL PHOTOS of anything exciting- such as behind the scenes progress on projects, sketches, teasers for projects coming soon, maybe even let viewers do votes on colors and/or other options and elements(?). This would also be cool for those who are not in Instagram to be able to keep up in real time with photos! Always put yourself first, give your body and mind time and space to rest and recover from the hours you spend creating, post some cute and fun pictures here whenever you want, and ENJOY YOUR TRIP TO JAPAN!!! 😍 Fawn 🩷🩷🩷
thanks so much, Fawn ! i’m always thinking of cool ways to bring the community together even if it’s a tiny thing like voting for something & hopefully i can start doing livestreams once all this traveling is done 🥺

this was totally enough project wise, I love to use the crochet method to cast off its stretchy but tighter and does not loosen over time or wear.
You don't need to do massive projects all the time :) also, thanks for spreading awareness about palestine, sudan and etc
don't apologize for doing whats best for you!!! We will enjoy whatever project you work on as long as you're enjoying sharing your craft :)
I've seen some behind-the-scenes of Coraline, and one of the artists made knitwear using toothpicks for needles. The more you know.
it’s so mind blowing how someone can do that 😮 they’re so talented
I worked in costume for film for 20 years. You are just as talented 😊
for the spiral bag, you can do a key like the key that opens the door to the portal or the other mother or maybe the cat
I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that Coraline came out back in 2009. 😭
I was so excited to see a Coraline themed video! I like that they also stand on their own as fun whimsical pieces. Enjoy your trip!
For the portal swirl bag you should make little mice like the ones she followed
When i think “Coraline” i see the doll in the yellow rain jacket
“The time to learn will come when it does.” I love that.
YES!! MY FAVORITE CROCHET ARTIST AND MY FAVORITE MOVIE IN ONE VIDEO!!

The bleeding-heart(dicentra)lights in the garden scene💕
You should make a bag shaped like the cat like it’s head or a sweater with a cat pattern on it i think that would be so cool
Omg I love your hair ❤ I’m always watching your videos as inspiration; have a good trip

sweeet! i just got new yarn and one of my yarn skiens are the exact colors of her gloves,
