Ecoslay Jello-shot over UFD is my forever routine. I’ll never purchase another styler, period. I’m so happy I’ve finally found the ones 😅 I apply both in the shower with lots and lots of water & diffuse/hooded dry. Lasts two weeks or longer ❤
So I used the Camille rose honey leave in, the curl maker, and added the innersense (outside the shower) applied in medium sections two pumps. And this is the best wash and go. It’s moisturized, shiny, and has a hold. And my hair is still giving volume
The UFD CM formula change is unfortunate. I had a few salon sized bottles that I'm almost done with so hoping I don't get bad results with the new formula although back when there was a huge buzz regarding the formula change a number of people mentioned the company claimed the formula had changed a while ago but they continued using the old labels so that made things even more confusing. I love this combo though. I apply the UFD like a Leave-in in the shower, in 4-6 sections, not as a styler so I'm not applying so much trying to achieve definition or anything like that. I cover my hair with a plastic cap and complete my shower letting it soak into my hair and then apply the Innersense Gel outside of the shower and I don't add more water. My hair stays defined with a great hold once I scrunch out the crunch with an oil/serum.
Glad I was a product junky years ago. I still have some of the original formula from before the founders divorced and also a bottle when the wife rebranded herself for a short time. She used the original recipe which she owned and hadn't sold at the time. Back then the products ingredients were 100% natural no fillers. I don't use it as much anymore because kinky curly was my 1 favorite along with qhemet biologics both black owned.
These 2 products work great for me. I apply UFD in the shower. Then I use inner sense when I'm out. Not only does it come out well. It lasts nicely for 5 days and for me that's what counts. When the inside of my hair didn't dry I used a diffuser. Sorry it didn't work well for you. Not everything is for everyone.
Thanks for sharing. Was going to try this combo because I’m experiencing residue and flakes with inner sense and KCKT custard combo however I applied a ton of inner sense leave in. So will try the KCKT custard inner sense combo again since I didn’t experience dryness and tangling on wash day. In fact I experienced less shedding than I ever have on wash day.
I think the reason your hair feels dry after rinsing out botanical gels is because they easily rinse off the hair. You are feeling your naked hair without product. Plastic gels are harder to rinse off. They leave product residue after you rinse that can potentially build up on hair strands. So when you feel your hair after rinsing off plastic gels, it's feels better because it left some product residue that is coating your strands.
Hi Joy! I have used other botanical gels that have not made my hair feel like it did that day. I do know what my naked hair feels like and this was totally different. In any event, I didn't like it and I won't be using this combo together. I will still try the ICH with something else. Thanks for tuning in and for sharing your thoughts.
So far it’s the best combo beside kinky curly system. At the first the it’s the ratio of water that it’s difficult to get. Once I got it I ‘be been doing wash n go all summer with this combo. It got hold but I don’t feel it’s a strong hold but my hair is go for 5 to 6 days. The best way for those products to be use is in the shower. Great to see your result.
My first wash and go with this combo lasted for 2 weeks, it was so defined and soft. But then I started playing around with the water to product ratio and haven't been able to recreate it since 😩. I got a bit frustrated and moved on to other products but I plan on using it again and perfecting it. Unfortunately my hair feels rough too when rinsing these products out, but with these type of botanical gels you need the gel to stick directly to the hair so I'm not a fan of using leave ins anymore.
Thanks for sharing. I know they are supposed to work better without leave-in, but I have used the UFD with a leave-in and then a gel on top and I loved the look and feel. I guess it just depends, but these two together is a NO for me, especially with the UFD that contains glycerin and protein. Thanks for tuning in.
I am with you I do not like those two together. I tried them and went back to my normal product The Curl Definition. I will try the Innersense with something else but I am done with UFD.. I thought it was me. Your hair is beautiful. Thanks for the review.

Your hair at the end looks amazing. I have never tried a two-gel wash and go as I am afraid of crunchy hair. My hair loves UFD, but I always use it with a leave in. Can't wait to see how you pair the Innersense gel with other products. As always, love the reviews.
Thank you so much!
Which leave in do you like?
@@michelew8313 I've been using Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Buttercream for years. I also like Camille Rose Curl Love and Oyin Hair Dew.
