Glad I found your channel! I like the diverse comics that you submitted for grading, have never seen most of them before. Do you send all your books for grading?
I have bought graded comics, but never thought about submitting them myself. I have only seen this one video so far; so sorry if you mentioned this before, but where do you have to go off too for months at a time? Sounds like what I went through in the Military before I retired. LOL
Enjoyed the unboxing, glad that you received so many 9.8s!! Also happy to support other smaller channels; *New subscriber for sure!* Lucky number #33; good luck on your journey to 100!

Thank you very much for the support! :) I got back into collecting comics about 5 years ago after about a 23 year hiatus. Grading is actually what got me back into collecting as I saw an ad for CBCS on the beckett website and decided I should send in my Star Trek #1 from my childhood collection, then I was hooked. At first I sent in a lot of comics that probably shouldn't have been graded, but now after getting comics graded for 5 years I've started to realize more of what is and isn't worth it. I'm generally only sending in comics that I am sure will be very high grade, unless they have some other significance to me, or are very old like silver and golden age.
You jumped in at a good time as this is probably the most diverse submission I have ever sent in, and probably one of the 2 best results wise. I do like collecting oddities.
You are correct, I am in the military and right now I am in the middle of a posting. I got posted to the east coast in August and had to leave my family on the west coast since my house hasn't sold yet. I saved up all of my leave for this year and am currently at home for 6 weeks to visit my family. I have to go back out east early mid-January and probably won't see them again until my house sells. If it doesn't sell by next August I may just end up retiring as I don't want to miss out on too much of my kids growing up, and after 28 years in the military (29 by next August) it may be about time to get out anyways lol.
Very happy to have you here and thank you very much again for subscribing!

@@grumpy_guss We are very much a like then... 1982-2011 was enough years for me in the Military as well! LOL Maybe I will send in a book as well, just to have the fun of waiting for it to come back and check the grade! Is CBCS less expensive than the CGC one? Their cases look the same to me. Thanks for replying, have a great day and enjoy your family time for sure!

@@SonOfCrom-1932 The waiting and anticipation is definitely part of the fun. I always restrain myself to wait until they arrive to find out the grade because it's so much fun that way. I do find that CBCS is a little less expensive, and CBCS's cases are vastly superior to CGC's. The CBCS cases are much stronger, and don't have issues like Newton rings like the CGC cases do. When it comes to super high end comics in the tens of thousands of dollars CGC graded comics do tend to sell for significantly more, but other than those, CBCS and CGC values aren't much different. If your not worried about min maxing resale value then CBCS is by far the better choice in my opinion. I have never submitted to CGC, but I do have a few CGC graded comics, though I only bought those because I got super good deals on them. Given the option I would have preferred CBCS graded versions at the same price.

@@grumpy_guss WOW, thank you for all that great information! I am one of those old guys that "don't like slabs", but thinking about the future of my collection; I have decided to get runs in only slabs (at least my daughters will have an easier time selling them). I think you have inspired me to try it at least once. If I find a great deal on a book I want, I will submit it. I think the anticipation will be the funniest part!!

@@SonOfCrom-1932 That's awesome, I'd love to hear what you send in and what grade you end up with! If the comic you send in has any light bends or non colour breaking creases make sure to add "Pressing" to your order, that should fix any minor issues like that and make sure you get the highest grade possible.
