I love this approach much more than the fancy planners with lots of information and calendars and extras. The fancy binders are like baby books you have the best intention to filll out everything but instead there is so much to fill out you quit and now that $30 is collecting dust. Thank you for simplicity.

You are so welcome! Ha ha ha. Totally like my 4th child's baby book! I know exactly what you mean - I think I invested more in planners for homeschooling than in books for the first few years thinking *that* was how I would get it all done. Silly me, I just needed to simplify! Thanks for the feedback Jennifer!

I have been reverse scheduling for years in Dollar General school calendars. I like this method for having large blocks that my son can look at and see what needs to be done. As a rising 8th grader, I want him to be a more active part of the planning and execution of our homeschooling experience.

So I used this over the last year for my kindergartener and it was fantastic. I free-styled his curriculum this year and was able to keep track of everything he accomplished over the year. Thank you for this resource!

Do you use this in conjunction with your spiral planner?

Nope. I use either a daily plan, or a reverse schedule. However, you could use either in a notebook. To do that, you can draw squares in your spiral notebook on a page to represent one week of learning, instead of using the daily columns. Just leave 36 pages for your 36 weeks of reverse scheduling throughout the school year! Or, switch back and forth between a daily plan and a reverse schedule as your life demands 😊.
