This was a wonderful display of mastery of the game, this was the golden years of the arcades, sadly the Sega Genesis could not emulate those gorgeous graphics from the arcades. Great gameplay.
I never played this game before but looks fairly easy, just need to know where enemies will run in and block that side, pop them as soon as they come in

🤣🤣🤣 This is exactly what I’d do so I could get more time to play with my beast powers! I just commented on how they push you right into the boss fight at almost the very second you transform. Such a terrible time to have a boss fight.
@@Mr.Smiley_J there is no level timer, so it very easy to do. It gets a little harder if you do it without any power ups. The only boss I couldn't beat in pure human form was the second one, but with at least one power up the plant boss was beatable.
@@Mr.Smiley_J Everything is achievable. It just takes a long time. And if you ask, there is not a special ending if you clear the game with the human form. It just shows the default wolf form.

Oh wow dudes & dudettes I so remember playing this game in Sega Version when I use to have one a long time ago it was super awesome on playing it and sure it froze a few times but I really enjoy playing while it lasted during my childhood it really made my millennium it really did and my favorite forms would have to be both Dragon Form & Tiger Form on this game but when it got to the final level of the game of course the final boss would have his own Alter Beast Form of a Rhinoman looking but it also revealed that the whole thing was nothing but a footage setup of a idea movie they we're making now that sounds super awesome at the same time in any other ways don't you think so dudes & dudettes.!?¡¿ ♤♡♧◇€£₩¥☆
Try beating the Dragon boss with just you lightning bolts. Takes forever. It took me awhile to figure out just getting close and firing off your lightning shield ability kills the boss in a few seconds.

Hace años yo jugada un compilado los sega Génesis classic collection en la play 2 desde entonces aparece ese titulo nunca pude terminar y jamás volver a jugar.
Por isso que o Mega Drive era o meu video game favorito nos anos 90. Quase não dá pra perceber a diferença desse jogo na versão de fliperama com o Mega Drive.

But Altered Beast was one of the first games ever released to the Mega Drive/Genesis, it was the one which had a screenshot on the console's box cover, and also the one which came bundled with the system (up until Sonic was a thing in '91). A good portion of the marketing campaign for the MD revolved around praising the arcade-like graphics. No other console could do it then.

You can delay the "Welcome to your doom" if you refuses to take final power-up that would morph you to the altered beast state.

I remember anytime you play a dragon stage you don't have to move. You can just mash the electric attack and it's invulnerable.

Meu primeiro contato com o jogo foi pelo Mega Drive que meu primo tinha, eu chamava ele de o "jogo do lobo".
NES te dava Mario, Master System te dava Alex Kidd, Megão te dava... Isso! 16-bit não brinca em serviço!

Wow. Some of the Genesis sounds are actually better, like the evil guy's voice & the electricity. It looks like stages might be shorter here too.
