Both lovely couples. When Hermani told Phil: "You'll always be welcome", I thought that was the nicest thing I've heard anybody say on the programme straight after a deal has been agreed. I was very happy for all of them. Nothing but smiles all round.
The first property I bought in London after I qualified as a lawyer - was a small flat in Hampstead , a 10- minute walk from the Heath . I must have purchased the flat before property prices started sky rocketing (!) I made a 200k tax-free profit in less than 5 years , and then leveraged that into a freehold house near the Heath . Sold the house 8 years later , making over £ 1.5 million profit . Best investment I ever made in my life! 🎉 😮
Hah after more than 6 decades living in Melbourne I moved to Italy...Zero regrets. Melbourne isn't all its cracked up to be! Congratulations to both couples!
😂😂😂😂 I think that everyone underestimates the amount of time it takes to do DIY projects. We have done it on 3 different properties over the years and it's stressful and always takes longer than expected.
Heard from the clients every time: "It's a good sized room"; "We could put our own stamp on it"; "It ticks all/some of the boxes." Are they coached to say these lines?
I don't think that that brick chimney was so horrible. However, I do think they kitchen would be improved by it's removal, making it so much more open and clear. I always wonder, since they cover back a few months later for that last part, why they don't just come back even later, after they've moved in so we can see what they have done rather than just hearing what they'd like to do.
At first I liked it, but then I thought that it was just too big for that kitchen. It would look much better if it was a large, farm-house style kitchen. It took up too much space.
Since hybrid working is still practiced in many companies, there’s no point spending that much money to live in a shoe box in London. You can have more outside London and you can always visit London during weekends
Am I the only one that thinks that £30 000 for a whole new floor and remodeling the middle floor is too cheap and not realistic at all????😮😮😮😮 I don't buy it, building is expensive and you don't even have to get fancy, standard materials and finished are going to cost you more than that.
These people are insane. 750k first time???? Do they know they will pay abut 650k in INTEREST? This FOMO for what has gone before ought to end before they get burned.
Two gorgeous couples, can you imagine how adorable their children will be. Good luck to them.

You only made 1.7 million? Yikes! I made 999 trillion, I still own 900 billion properties and I’m best friends with Adele!
Well done 🎉 Those were some good moves 👍🏾

My goodness. Such pretty ladies. All of them. Glad they found their homes.
The girl on Phil's team was such a positive person. Both couples were lovely.
Both couples were right in their property choices. I would have gone with their picks as well.
Lovely episode - Lovely couples! It would be great to see a follow up on them 7 years later.

Glad they brought before COVID and huge price increases
Lovely and sensible couples but to think 750k can give you just a small property; not even a house, it's mindblowing to me. Thanks for posting!
Yes 12 years on. 😂
Great episode! Thank you! :)
Look forward to you taking us back to re-visit and see what they've done to their homes.
Wow! Really really happy for both couples! Great properties!

How did you get residency in Italy? Do you have an EU passport? It's not always easy to make the move because of legislation for foreigners.
Need to do a 2 years later show on these lovely couples…..the good the bad and the ugly
Would love to see an update on both of these great couples! 💕🇨🇦

I kind of like the brick stove "thing" but what's that element on it? A fried egg with a clock for the yolk??
Two absolutely lovely couples ❤❤
I wonder what Kirsty and Phil talk about with their couples while they wait for the estate agent!
£695k for that flat. I can’t with London 😂
Yes 12 years ago it’s now 1.7 million now.

Loved that brick feature stove!

It’s absolutely hideous.
