    In order to play the mod, simply unzip the drive file, find PlantsVsZombies.exe, and open it up. I have no idea if this kind of thing works on Mac.

    I downloaded the mod yesterday and just reached night time! I love the mod so far! Peashooters being useful all the way through day was really fun and the sunflower cost and recharge really made balancing sun production vs attack a more heavy decision! I highly recommend the mod for anyone who’s still on the fence, it was also really easy to download~

    Extra things in my mod that I didn't personally add but come with this:
    - extra page of minigames, some of which are completely broken
    - pvz2 sprites for everything in the game
    - free copy of pvz! for pirates! yay?

    I found a bug in the mod where doom shroom recharges way faster than it should but you know what it's kinda funny

    I RELEASED AN UPDATE:
    As it turns out once you release a mod and see others play it you learn a lot of new stuff about it so the new update will weaken the strategies that people tend to gravitate towards (notably nerfing peashooter and wall nut in favor of more expensive plants)
    To get the update, follow the instructions on the drive link. If you're just installing now, the update has been added.

    Looks cool, though I do think the insta balance shown in the vid is a bit questionable. Doom is still totally busted OP for one. And Potato got gutted yet Squash got changed much more minorly despite the fact Squash was generally way more versatile than Potato. Still, a simple rebalance mod for PvZ1 is something I've always wanted to see so I might try it out, and the balance looks interesting in general.

      Doom was never that great in vanilla since zombie density never gets high enough for it to be relevant. Squash actually got another nerf to 35 second recharge in a later patch and potato just straight up is still one of the best plants in the mod like I have no idea what you mean by gutted.

      @@aidancode I mean, Potato is gutted compared to vanilla with how massive those nerfs are, I suppose the phrasing was a bit poor, I could tell it was still good but it felt like a far more significant nerf than Squash got.
      As for Doom, it's essentially a board clear when placed in any of the middle three rows. It might never be *needed* in vanilla but it's still just objectively better than Cherry at night, even with this nerf. And during the day an argument can be made that Doom is also better because of the value of storing sleeping Dooms for later use. The increased crater duration only really matters in survivals, when you're constantly cycling dooms and other instas, but in regular parts of the game the craters never really have an impact.
      I also saw from other comments you plan on making a hard mode for this mod? I have a strong feeling Doom's power will become very clear there as I'm guessing there's maybe doubled wavepoints in that version.

      @Milesprowerthegamer I have been quite aware of the power level of doom in both the mod and its hard mode. In normal difficulty, the main reason why doom is hardly buffed is because there is very little incentive to actually use it. My priority isn't to make everything equally strong, but rather equally likely to be chosen (though obviously this is technically impossible as some plants like squash are so essential to the experience). Doom was always relatively less chosen than other plants since ice shroom usually got the job done for a cheaper cost anyway. In the hard mode mod, this is absolutely not the case. Doom shroom becomes practically an essential plant, and it receives a bunch of nerfs in that version. As it stands, I believe I have it balanced like this:
      Normal mod: 150 sun, 50 seconds recharge, 5 minute crater
      Hard mode: 200 sun, 65 seconds recharge, 5 minute crater
      I want to note that this is still pretty early in the testing process of hard mode, and it may get more cost nerfs.

      @@aidancode Ah, I see. Balancing around making things equally likely to be picked is something I've seen a lot of pvz2 mods attempt, it's a very tough thing to pull off. I still can't say I agree with Doom's stats, but I understand the reasoning at least. It's certainly true Doom is kind of rarely picked in casual play, it's the sort of thing you usually see challenge runners and speedrunners use but regular players have little need for its power.

    Can you make a more difficult version of your mod? I'd love to play it. I wanted it to be as difficult as Brutal mode.

      I'm working on a hard mode, but I can't make it as hard as something like brutal for a few reasons.
      1. Balance. I want every plant to be usable and unique in the mod. That includes plants like peashooter, sea shroom, and kernel pult, all of whom are quite difficult to make balanced when the first wave often consists of multiple coneheads.
      2. Plant selection. Levels like 1-7 and 2-1 are quite difficult to balance since your access to plants is so limited. This means that I have to nerf the zombies that appear in those levels, making other levels (in this case, 1-6 and basically every night level) a little bit easier. There is no workaround to this, since I can't set changes for one specific level. If one level is too hard, the whole game gets messed up.
      3. Consistency. I want every level to be mostly consistent. I don't want the player to get screwed over by bad RNG, so I'm trying to make every level consistent enough to be able to beat at least 80% of the time you play it.
      For these reasons, this mod is going to be easier than most other hard mode mods. In my opinion, that's totally fine, since the other mods already exist and aren't going away. In general, the hard mode that I'm making is going to be around the difficulty of the hard mode popularized by shyguymask. There are still going to be plenty of hard levels, though, notably 1-7, 2-7, 2-9, 3-2, in just the first half of the game. The experience in this hard mode is going to be different from most. Most hard mode mods make sun production easier than vanilla. This mod makes it harder to get sun.

      @A_Hexagon more or less. Besides, I think pvz plus difficulty would appeal to more people. In general I'm gonna make the mod as hard as I can without sacrificing the pillars of design.

      1. What operating system do you use? This mod might not work on Mac and almost certainly not on mobile
      2. Make sure to download the entire folder called replanted
      3. Your antivirus might be interfering with the download in which case you'll need to mess with that
      4. If that doesn't work you can send a screenshot in my discord server and I could try to troubleshoot
