    I forgot how good Wash defense was this year. And the kicker….wow, what a performance! They represented the PAC 12 better than any team in the last 10 years

    Man rewatching this game gave me chills clearly no match that day doesn’t help when your offense couldn’t move the ball, and our defense was gassed out... sucks with that Pick Six before half. But amazing game glad I was able to go annoying that it was in ATL cause the travel but no excuse.
    Thank you Coach Pete for putting UW on the map!

      Washington's defense was legit in 2016. Sark had a certain body type that he recruited while at UW and after those guys fully developed Washington had a badass defense. Too bad Washington's offense sucked ass though.

      Defense buddy - but he was the reason that our defense ran out of gas in that 4th quarter of the 2016 National Championship Game against Clemson - all those 3 and outs, not being able to convert on 3rd down in the 2nd half - Hurts still almost won that game - too much time left on the clock and our defense was tired from being on the field the whole 2nd half - Clemson made some crazy catches on that last drive also , plus that stupid 15 yard penalty

    • @christopherbrock8913
      @christopherbrock8913 3 года назад +1

      Jalen Hurts also cost Ridley and O.J. Howard a lot of yards and TDs in 2016 - Bama had probably the best tight end in College football and did not get the ball to O.J. - Jake Coker did not find O.J. until the last game in 2015 - that is why it caught Clemson off guard , because nobody was getting the ball to O.J. - even in 2014 O.J. did not get the ball like he should have - I like Blake Sims but he was only looking for one receiver (Amari Cooper) - Have to go all the way back to 2013 is the only year O.J. was getting the ball , from A.J. Mcarron - if A.J. had another year of eligibility left, O.J. would have had at least 700 to 800 yards easy 🏆🐘 ROLL TIDE

    Really a lights out game by Washington’s defense that was already decimated by injuries, pretty impressive. Jalen Hurts didn’t have a good game true, but that is simply due to the defensive scheme that Washington plays, heavy zone coverage and that was an NFL defense lol. That was the best defense Alabama had seen all year. Makes it doubly impressive when you consider UW going 3 and out often, and where Washington had to play Alabama, usually it was at midfield.

    Not sure how the refs missed the Fitzpatrick unsportsmanlike call at the end, as a matter of fact he also threw a punch, and that should've carried on his suspension to the 2nd half to national championship. It is what is, he got away with it, he's lucky he didn't get called for that, or anybody caught that for that matter.

      The few times he had a clean pocket he completed passes.

      Sark recruited some badass defensive players while he was at UW. He recruited SEC body types there who needed development. By the time 2016 came around those guys were fully developed and Chris Petersen had a badass defense to work with at UW. Petersen didn't continue to recruit that body type so once these dudes graduated UW fell off the map on defense. Their offense was already trash so the result was a 7 win team in 2019.

      @jkyles1000 7 лет назад

      Ignatius---Bama's offense looked bad because of (1) Kiffin's play calling and (2) Hurts having an off game. But Clemson had several off games this season that reflected on the entire team and not a single player. Shutting out OSU meant nothing because OSU had even more unorganized, sloppy squeak-by questionable wins than Clemson. Alabama won every game decisively, except for LSU---and that's with Hurts hindering the offense more times than helping the offense.
      Also, last year, our defense was bigger and not as fast as this year's defense---which made stopping Watson in the NC game nearly impossible. But it was discovered that when the smaller, quicker defensive players rotated in they were far more effective. That did not happen until about the 3rd quarter and we still kept our bigger guys out there. This year, 90% of our defense is made up of those same smaller, quicker guys who will be out there the entire time and will be all over Watson. We have far more sacks than last year and rushing D stats are better than last year.
      Again, Clemson barely won several games this year and should have lost one more (which means they really shouldn't have been in playoff, much less NC game. You cannot say Bama should have lost any games. If Hurts just plays moderately, then that will be enough for the Offense to roll and Bama will win.

    • @PerryCuda
      @PerryCuda 7 лет назад +1

      +jkyles1000 Ole Miss' offense moved through Alabama's D like Krystals through an infant. I expect Clemson's O to do much better with its much better athletes.

    • @jkyles1000
      @jkyles1000 7 лет назад

      Ignatius---Bama has a very young team in many aspects which means against Ole Miss you had freshman after freshman at key positions, which equated to mass confusion at times, a sputtering offense and momentum for any opposing offense. That's entirely different from Clemson just having a consistently sputtering TEAM that never got beyond this. Bama matured past this, EXCEPT for Hurts AT TIMES.

  • @arrowjsmith153

    Washington has not dared to come back again. Dirty as they come. Peterson is a trash coach allowing his players to play dirty. BAMA responded by whipping their ass on the field and winning the game. I see Washington lost again last night. Lets hear it for the Sun Devils of Tempe, Arizona.
