He has so much time to improve and he had all these stats while splitting snaps with Jalen Hurts. Tua is something special.

I made a video on some of the stars of this game -- but reviewing this footage you get to see how deep Alabama went. Alabama went just shy of walk ons in this game. Example: Start with #1 Running back = Damien Harris ,.. continue with #2 RB Najee Harris mixed with Josh Jacobs.. Then 4th RB in Bama is using Brian Robinson,.. moving further is 5th RB, freshman - Jerome Ford .. and then lastly 6th RB Ronnie Clark Sr. Who never made it up the depth chart but takes advantage of his playing time when he gets it. Saban was mostly upset at Christian Miller and Anfernee Jennings (starters) in the LB corps making silly penalties (that allowed points/extended drives for Louisville) - Then in the middle Mack Wilson missing a few calls with his Will partner and freak Dylan Moses (see Dylan chase that guy down to save a TD?) -- Saban was frustrated in 2nd half with their backups - Both Mike LB's #340 Josh McMillon and #36 Markail Benton missing assignments/coverages. Will backup Ale Kaho saw action and did fine for the short bit of action he saw. Love the ability for the Tide to play the entire squad against a Power 5 opponent. Of course only going 3 deep at QB. Biggest unknown potential problem for the Tide this year is the kicking game,.. but with the offense it should be ok as long as Tua remains healthy.

In the OP defense, Jalen Hurt’s game transformed under Lincoln Riley. He had some a good season at Alabama and showed flashes of being really good, but at OU he was amazing. Really got to display his ability as a passer and his running ability has always been evident. Lincoln Riley transforms QB’s but I think the OU system fit Hurts playing style better as well. And for everyone who was reading this and waiting to comment, I am well aware he wasn’t playing against SEC defenses.
