If you practice with a car at the power level of your comp car you spend as much money on parts/tires/fuel as when you run the comp car. That’s why lots of drivers have simple practice set ups. They can get seat time with lower tire wear/parts. You also cannot practice the mental pressure of comps, comp cars are also set up to be on the edge of gripping up to get max speed which is a riskier thing to do in practice. Best practice for comps is comps.
Bit hard to drive Matsuri, FDJ2, track day with Yashio Factory and then be back in the shop working on a car. I am sure there will be plans for that car when he gets his new mechanic onboard.
