The game should have BOTH the jackpot option of finding the item you need, and the incremental progression option of finding one of x barter goods that eventually give you the item. 🔥
The part that keeps me from really embracing this game is how horribly it runs between menus, if I wanna to screw around with a toz firing TSS AP in factory, that 3 minute raid takes 20 minutes to get back into because of how horribly it sticks on screens or just goes black and stays black till you alt F4, then the game says you're still in raid after you've already died and have to load back into raid for the game to see "oh it's over" then crash again to get back to the damn menu, the thought of release is laughable.
Though i agree the state of the game is really bad. These issues feel really extreme, are you sure all of your drivers are installed correctly? Also make sure you don’t run any third party applications with tarkov or have certain recording systems active, some really don’t play well with the game.
Actually, it's arguably worse in the most significant way, which is just average performance. Some glitchy Tarkov-isms are one thing, but running Customs at 40fps when you used to get more like 75+ on the same system is insane.
@@longplaylegends Well, There are some logical explanations for that particular situation... Like the new engine etc. I run almost every map at 70+ Some at 100+ FPS with a 5950x 4070super, 32gb RAM. Although i can agree the performance has not gotten any better.
What do you mean outdoor audio is fine, on woods it breaks all the time to the sound like you're undergroud, while you out in the open, and the bug with sound completely shutting down until you restart your game is still here.
@jonathanbrooks2989 yeah you're right, I just meant that on woods it looks ridiculous cause happens seemingly nowhere near any buildings and it feels it's easiest map to get this bug. Couple of says ago I think I got it like 2 out of 4 raids.
I think that there should be "quest" keys. That are provided through the tarks/quest as you work through them and those keys should be "spec" items. But I'm also in the camp that thinks that most quests are insanely stupid AND that good gear should only come from raid. We're supposed to be stuck in a blockaded warzone. AND yet every trader seems to be completely fine filling orders?
What would you think about them replacing "found in raid" with "bought on flea", in which everything bought on the flea cannot be listed on the flea, or turned in for quests, or for upgrading hideout. But anything bought from traders, found in raids, looted off other players, or taken out in your secure container are fair game for quests/hideout/selling on flea?
if you do that people would just cheese it and die to friends without being in the same team so they can sell whatever equipment they wanted to sell lol, they already tried that approach in the past forcing players to only sell items with the "found in raid" checkmark and people didnt like it
@Davineitor005 That's like cheesing your setup kills with a friend imo and not really a problem, plus they could just make it so you cant drop items in raid with stuff like a VPX, LEDX, Motor, etc which they already do for a lot of high value items. And yeah they tried found in raid only before for flea but this would include non-FiR as long as you aren't buying and flipping, which is the main problem with the economy when you allow all items to be listed on flea
Yep i second that, first time watching. Was wondering about the Topics wich would be discussed. If someone of you would take the time to create timestamps, this would benefit us alot! Thanks for the Podcast. Enjoyed it.
IF BSG just made one simple change, that being allowing players to use their secure container for FIR items, it would change this whole experience this wipe as well as going forward. Basically, if you die with an item in your secure container it is still considered FIR. A small, but also big change that would allow players to still upgrade their hideout, but at a much more reduced pace. At the same time there is less pressure to avoid pvp with other players, thus making raids feel more alive. Making hideout FIR causes players to avoid confrontation as soon as they start looting, and or find something valuable. Recently my wipe has been hit or miss because finding items now just seems like a slog fest, especially when thinking about future upgrades such as Med Station 3. With the current state of cheating and what not, the game is less appealing than ever from a casual stand point, so making one simple change like actually being able to use my secure container for something other than ammo and meds would be massive.
The T5000 is a good sniper and the only reason I don’t use it regularly is because it’s slightly more expensive than buying a cheaper M700 and modding it. Otherwise it’s a great sniper rifle. Could do with like a 10-15k drop in price which would help.
I think Punisher 4 on Interchange would be good. This wipe I found myself having to choose between running Lighthouse for Punisher 4 to get closer to Epsilon container, or running Interchange for Ragman rep for my hideout Stash upgrades.
5% boss spawn early wipe is awful. If you don't want bosses turn them off. Why do i have the information that they spawn 5%, effectivly never, to then come out of nowhere and screw my raid.
I think they should just cap the amount you can ask for when you list something on the flea for like 2x the max value of the item. Or something like that...
One way that they could TRY to please both ends of the spectrum is have a "hardcore" zone and a "standard" zone within PvP. Hardcore would have no flea, required FIR hideout items, things of that nature and anything else the hardcore guys want. Standard would have flea market, not require FIR hideout items ETC... Obviously not a bullet proof solution, adding PVE already cut the player base in half and now cutting it into thirds could be problematic. This is just food for thought. I mean they could make the "hardcore" PvP zone SUPER hardcore and make progression egregiously slow, but make that zone persistent with no wipes or maybe just wipe it less often? Again, just bouncing ideas, keep up the good work with the podcast guys.
I love being able to get my traders and buying my kit, then making my own ammo, way more satisfying that buying everything from flee, but they need to balance traders and items better
I think no flea is 100 times better but I do think they need to keep the flea I think honestly if they just reworked barters … traders and keys and just have the flea only open on the weekends I think we’d have a nice middle ground .. flea only open Saturday n sunday
So what would your thoughts on BSG adding a lockpick skill / item you can take a lock pick into raid and pick open door locks a simple door might be a 10 second animation and a complex one like kiba might be a 60 second animation then as you level up the skill it would reduce time and for balance reasons you could always exclude some locks like marked rooms and anything with a key card this would allow for quest progression without the flee market add another cool skill into the game with some risk versus reward you have a 5 second key unlock animation versus a 60 second animation If you needed to further balance tou can require lock pick manuals to pick certian tiers of locks and lock them behind task/trader levels so maybe you need jager 3 to unlock a high value loot lock The only issue is you have to interior locks based off of the loot in the rooms and it would not be intuitive it would require people to go to the the wiki I mean it's very much like a mod in SPT other than they have a Bethesda style lock pick mini game where ESG would be better off with a hold down a button animation like a plant
Cannot find elite pliers for the life of me. My hideout is lacking because of them. Hate FIR hideout. Barters should provide fir Close to quitting the wipe for the chore it's been.
From 2018 to here, we had an increse in the cheater population that is MASSIVE, and it is plain and simple the cause of this problem. The implementation of flea market PERIOD. This early wipe proved to new players that WE DON'T NEED THE FLEA MARKET TO ENJOY TARKOV! #NOFLEAMARKET
Commenting before finishing the video but regarding 1:29:00, about marrying the hard choices of no flea with the convenience of the flea: Just make flea the place where anything and everything is available, but you have to pay a potentially huge premium for it. The way I imagine it is that you remove the fee for adding things on flea, and have the buyer pay a fee instead - and then you have an algorithm adjust the price for the buyer based on sales per hour. So for instance, maybe something like a class 6 armor would be set to only sell 2 per hour on average, and the algorithm just keeps raising the price until only 24 überchads across the entire playerbase can afford it each day. Meanwhile something like decent ammo could be made more lenient, but still adjusted to be far more expensive than trader items. The end result, if balanced properly, would be that the average player needs to get most of his kit from the traders or looted from raids, but specific things that this player values can be supplemented using the flea. Similarly, if you're missing that one last task item or hideout upgrade item, you can bite the bullet and pay the semitic markup of the flea to get it if you're having terrible luck in raid - but you can't just get everything from the flea because it's always going to be too expensive that way, except perhaps if you start way late and need your three gas analyzers when no one else needs them anymore, in which case being able to get them from the flea is good because it allows late starters to catch up. The best part is that those überchads with billions of roubles would be competing against each other for the highest tier items like the lvl6 plates and whatnot, so you may well end up in a situation where the seller puts them up for half a mil, but the flea then adds something absurd like a 50 mil markup, all of which is money that gets deleted from the economy, preventing the inflation we saw last wipe, all at the expense of the überchads. Also, with this system FiR would be completely obsolete.
@@victorsinelli1049 "they can't even optimize a map", as if that's a trivially easy thing to do. What I'm suggesting is actually relatively easy to do. There are elegant ways of doing this, but a dead simple bruteforce method is easy enough to describe here. FIR hideout doesn’t work with a wiping progression cycle. I think it works well in pve where there is no wipe and no being left behind. For pvp it’s too much for some players.
Agreed the Found in Raid change for this wipe is brutal on BCC (Blue Collar Casusls) as the chads and gigachad are going to have that stuff no matter what. But at least give me a chance to get decent kit at week 6 of the wipe without looting a bait body and making a lucky escape or just having a Sherpa/friend drop me gear. The Flea Market gives me a chance to save up money for my efforts and then reward myself with some Gucci kit so I can try to knock off a quest or two (assuming I survive). But when I literally need someone to just give me gear charity to make the game playable, it’s disenfranchising and I don’t get the same enjoyment I do when I work hard for something and then win with it. My gambling addiction doesn’t kick in unless it’s me taking the risk. When I’m able to go out and grind my way to get all the way to generator 2 and workbench 2 with the flea by the end of wipe it’s great. This wipe I’ll be lucky if I can get to shooting range 1 This will be the 3rd wipe I’ve played through in the past 5 years since starting the game and my goal is to grind to level 30 PMC playing 0-4 hours a week.
Also FIR hideout is why cheaters are everywhere, because people are paying for raids and need more runs to do their hideout.. so previously rmt-ers were just paying for quest carries, now its quest and hideout... and they fixed item radar cheating so they just clear lobbies now instead of gathering loot quietly
