I toured the Mississippi river in the late 90s on the Mississippi Queen and it was gorgeous start to finish...❤ I was also on the Delta Queen. So are they still running? My family had a wonderful time on both.

I want to take it. Nice way to travel to states I wouldn't otherwise, is it a value purchase? Of course not, hell your own locality most likely has a nice resort hotel you can stay at for way less for a similar experience, but for what you get here, and for a lot of central US living people, not having to fly if you didn't want to to do a luxury river cruise, not worry about passports etc, may be worth it for some. Like all luxury products, value isn't really what concerns people at this level.
i looked these up on the rhine river in germany from amsterdam and their river is so much nicer and they have cities along the river that are built close literally on the the river not a mile away like our cities. I would love to go to europe it looks much much nicer then american cities. I think we have been brainwashed into thinking we are #1 in everything its not true except for the freedom part.
Do they follow the American with disabilities act because they were said they are not going to be able to follow the ada so which is are they going to be following the American with disabilities act or not because everthing has to follow them ada including the river cruises in Europe ❤😊??
American Cruise Lines has nice ships but not like this, I am thinking of booking a cruise next year. I always done river cruise from a European perspective
Unfortunately, these upscale ships are really not geared towards the average american cruiser. While the ship looks nice, the food selections and "entertainment" are marketed towards a more sedate, well-to-do clientele, with lectures offered instead of a casino or comedy clubs, and chef inspired haute cuisine instead of standard comfort food fare!
I doubt they are trying to attract the average American cruiser; I expect they are trying to attract the same demographic they already service on their other cruises.
Wow, it's about time the U.S. has caught up to Europe on river cruises, at least the actual boat. I might actually consider this one.
Thank you so much for this tour ❤
Take a side view picture of the vessel, use your thumbs to cover the bow & stern and what do you get? A motel.

Great introduction to Viking Mississippi but please pan the camera more slowly. Too much fast motion.
Slow your video down in settings

@@rockyrider9774He was just trying to be helpful, and you respond like an absolute twat. Pathetic state of humanity.
Cool 😎
thank you!
Very nice video, thank you!
I can beat that. Checked on a cruise with another river cruise line. For 2 people 8 days, smallest cabin, $16,000!
Hey like europe only bigger. Nice
I saw her a few weeks ago in Dubuque. Kind of underwhelming actually. Like a rectangular box on a barge.
I’d like to do this!
They need more cruisers on the Ohio!
Nice. I want to work here
What an EYESORE
Why eyesore? What would you want different & how? ❤
Here in europe you have 300 of these sailing arround. One after they ader
Those Viking River ships are very different from the Viking Mississippi riverboat.
is there a casino on board?
Finally bringing in the European sailing influence and standard in USA!?
love Viking river cruises in Europe...can't imagine why anyone would want to take this trip though

These whit jet drive or pots?
Good info. Video “panning” needs help. Way too fast panning from side to side for us to appreciate and benefit from what is shown.
$4000 per person for 8 days. There's not enough scenery along the river to make it worth that.
The Muddy Grubby Mississippi .... Nothing to see here!
I am sure Walmart has a cruise for you. #poorlifechoices
How many year relations??
My wife cannot two a ocean trip how expensive is this
Did you only visit the boat while it was in port? It doesn't seem that you spent even a night onboard. It seems like just a travel agent quick tour.

Who cares? I certainly don’t.
I'm sorry but 25k for two people seems like too much
Yep, the Walmart/Dollar General crowd is in the house!

Exactly. I don’t want to be around a bunch of drunk Gen Z being obnoxious or bratty little kids.
What's to see on the Mississippi?
Museums mostly.
Is there anywhere you can smoke on this cruise
Why bother? Lung cancer is gonna happen before you step foot on the ship.
Lower decks views consist of brush and river banks. I'd avoid Mississippi River cruises.
Camera moves way too fast, made my dizzy.
Pan slower!
Painful to watch.
is this the boat who's stairway collapsed onto an elderly couple a while back during a preview tour? no thanks
Citation please.
