French Quarter Second Line Up Royal Street
Larger parades require multiple brass bands so all second liners can step to the beat, no matter where they fall in line.

Walk through the newly renovated and reimagined Hotel Saint Vincent in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. Established as an infant asylum in 1861, this historic property was built with the money from Margaret Haugery’s successful bakery. Margaret began her life as a penniless orphan and an Irish immigrant and became a successful business woman and philanthropist. The nearby statue of her...

Tour the Viking Mississippi River Ship
Steam Engines, a lazy float down the river and some Dixieland Jazz! Sounds like a good time to me!
Former Casino Rock Island, she is looking great.
I grew up on the Mississippi. There ain't all that much scenery, what with tows, lock and dams, and all the mistakes the U.S. Army Engineers have made. Mostly, you will see a swamp, or a levee, or both.
Can i cruise with my toy dogs
I toured the Mississippi river in the late 90s on the Mississippi Queen and it was gorgeous start to finish...❤ I was also on the Delta Queen. So are they still running? My family had a wonderful time on both.
@@elizabethpeterson455 just saw your comment on Mississippi river cruises. Sadly the Mississippi Queen is no more, was scrapped. The Delta Queen in now in Louisiana supposedly being refitted with new boilers and updated and restored. The American Queen is now no longer in service. Sad, very sad.
@ thanks…that’s really bad as I was wanting to go on another cruise😔
Cool 😎
Where does this located in st Vincent.
Great peek at the outside, I'd love to see a room tour!
Finally bringing in the European sailing influence and standard in USA!?
I can beat that. Checked on a cruise with another river cruise line. For 2 people 8 days, smallest cabin, $16,000!
Yea they forgot to tell us how expensive
is there a casino on board?
i looked these up on the rhine river in germany from amsterdam and their river is so much nicer and they have cities along the river that are built close literally on the the river not a mile away like our cities. I would love to go to europe it looks much much nicer then american cities. I think we have been brainwashed into thinking we are #1 in everything its not true except for the freedom part.
Take a side view picture of the vessel, use your thumbs to cover the bow & stern and what do you get? A motel.
Truly ugly ship.
Do they follow the American with disabilities act because they were said they are not going to be able to follow the ada so which is are they going to be following the American with disabilities act or not because everthing has to follow them ada including the river cruises in Europe ❤😊??
Who cares? I certainly don’t.
I’d like to do this!
I'm sorry but 25k for two people seems like too much
Yep, the Walmart/Dollar General crowd is in the house!
Lower decks views consist of brush and river banks. I'd avoid Mississippi River cruises.
American Cruise Lines has nice ships but not like this, I am thinking of booking a cruise next year. I always done river cruise from a European perspective
Pan slower!
I saw her a few weeks ago in Dubuque. Kind of underwhelming actually. Like a rectangular box on a barge.
What's to see on the Mississippi?
Museums mostly.
Camera moves way too fast, made my dizzy.
$4000 per person for 8 days. There's not enough scenery along the river to make it worth that.
The Muddy Grubby Mississippi .... Nothing to see here!
I am sure Walmart has a cruise for you. #poorlifechoices
Good info. Video “panning” needs help. Way too fast panning from side to side for us to appreciate and benefit from what is shown.
Painful to watch.
Very nice video, thank you!
is this the boat who's stairway collapsed onto an elderly couple a while back during a preview tour? no thanks
Citation please.
They need more cruisers on the Ohio!
love Viking river cruises in Europe...can't imagine why anyone would want to take this trip though
Why can't you imagine why anyone would want to take this trip?
I want to take it. Nice way to travel to states I wouldn't otherwise, is it a value purchase? Of course not, hell your own locality most likely has a nice resort hotel you can stay at for way less for a similar experience, but for what you get here, and for a lot of central US living people, not having to fly if you didn't want to to do a luxury river cruise, not worry about passports etc, may be worth it for some. Like all luxury products, value isn't really what concerns people at this level.
Unfortunately, these upscale ships are really not geared towards the average american cruiser. While the ship looks nice, the food selections and "entertainment" are marketed towards a more sedate, well-to-do clientele, with lectures offered instead of a casino or comedy clubs, and chef inspired haute cuisine instead of standard comfort food fare!
I doubt they are trying to attract the average American cruiser; I expect they are trying to attract the same demographic they already service on their other cruises.
Exactly. I don’t want to be around a bunch of drunk Gen Z being obnoxious or bratty little kids.
What an EYESORE
Why eyesore? What would you want different & how? ❤
Is there anywhere you can smoke on this cruise
Why bother? Lung cancer is gonna happen before you step foot on the ship.
thank you!
My wife cannot two a ocean trip how expensive is this
Probably full with a bunch of racist old rich white ppl
Did you only visit the boat while it was in port? It doesn't seem that you spent even a night onboard. It seems like just a travel agent quick tour.
These whit jet drive or pots?
Here in europe you have 300 of these sailing arround. One after they ader
Those Viking River ships are very different from the Viking Mississippi riverboat.
Hey like europe only bigger. Nice
Wow, it's about time the U.S. has caught up to Europe on river cruises, at least the actual boat. I might actually consider this one.
Nice. I want to work here
How many year relations??
Great introduction to Viking Mississippi but please pan the camera more slowly. Too much fast motion.
Slow your video down in settings
