It's common for a family business to remove ownership from a family member going through a divorce to protect the company from having to be divided or having the ex spouse get partial ownership
It would also help him owe less if his half is smaller
Makes for a small divorce settlement...
Corey Harrison is a prime example of someone who got a well paid job in a family business and would be hard pushed to gain employment with any other employer.
It's also a stretch to call him a businessman

It was silver coins in sack & silver ingots. No gold if I recall. The coins were mostly circulated pre-67 coins making their worth as scrap silver far in excess of their face value.

If you have ownership in a business, you literally own a portion of it, it can't just be taken away without compensation. You can be bought out of course, but if you really own a percentage, it can't just be taken.

I watched the show (past tense) to see the items people brought in. Never could stand any of the Harrison's with Big Hoss being one of the biggest DB's of all, followed closely by his father. Chumlee gave some comic relief and that's about it.
