@Hewkll Actually, the Satedans used Projectile weapons much like ours. His pistol is a Traveler design. Actually, many species throughout the Stargate verse use Projectile weapons. Like the Genii, the Satedans, the Lucian Alliance, a few of the moderately advanced ones in SG-1 and SGA. The energy weapon users are the top 5% or so, the reason we see energy weapons all the time is because their users are the ones with the technology to achieve interstellar flight, so they're more prolific.
I know but the fact that they had them lowered the feeling that they were on their own instead of being cut off and alone they could talk with Earth how often they wanted(after they had found the stones). Also I personally didnt really like the parts that were set on earth . What I first liked about Atlantis was that they had no way to communicate with earth(at the beginning)

Am I the only one who actually didn't enjoy SGA that much? It didn't have that... "comfy" feel. Even though SGC was a military base while Atlantis was a literal city, the people in SGC had really nice and wholesome relationships with each other, while SGA always felt like they're constantly bickering and arguing. And it was especially hard for me with Rodney, since he was always presented on SG1 as the arrogant prick so to have him as one of the protagonists just didn't sit well with me.
Agreed. As much as I loved SG1, and was skeptical going into Atlantis thinking a spinoff would suck, I ended up not only loving the show, but preferring it over SG1, which is saying A LOT! It is to this day my favorite series (maybe second only to Mystery Science Theater 3000, but they're completely different). I still think of it and miss it often. It just did not have a long enough run, even two more seasons I think would have satisfied me and given it time to properly conclude the story. U~U

You only look at witty story lines and more action oriented scenes.SGU actually had some similarities with SG-1 when you think about it, along with good acting which can be said for MOST of the actors. And the concept was very very interesting and cool.Oh,if only you had given the show a FREAKING CHANCE instead of taking one look at the show and thinking,"Hmm, no action. This sucks (IS DIFFERENT) and I don't like it being different."Oh by the way,you also killed the SGA movie by not watching SGU.
Reality crapovision. lol Ah, truer words have never been spoken. And you're right. I was actually having this exact conversation with my grandmother last night, how just a few years ago fictional TV programing was a very different animal from what it is today. If you don't wanna watch Reality TV or some Crime Drama, you're basically stuck watching the news on most nights. >.> All I can say is thank god for the few fantasy programs left, I dunno what I'd do without them. I need my sci-fi fix! D:
Oh hell yeah! X3 However, I was really referring to a TV series specifically. No more Star Trek, Star Gate, Firefly died before it's time, among others, or even shows like Buffy/Angel aren't really around (save Supernatural, and to an extent The Walking Dead). I am really starting to wonder when some new and good quality sci-fi/fantasy programming will come our way, that genre used to be a much more common occurrence. The imagination of the people making shows seams to be nearly tapped out. '~'
I haven't watched the SciFi Channel since the Stargate programs (even SGU, yeech!) ended, and this because of the garbage it was producing and probably still is producing. It can bring SGA back easily enough. (What if some renegade Goa'uld made their way to the Pegasus Galaxy, took over remaining Wraith hives and began building a power base?) There are always ways to keep a good thing going. The bad thing is, it's not too late to bring these guys back!
SGUs suckage isn't responsible for ruining the franchise by itself, those who decided to end SGA and bring on SGU are the ones that ruined it, apparently under the assumption that if it's SG people will watch. They ended up screwing themselves. Why they even wanted to take that risk is just beyond me. SGA was doing just fine, and it still had a lot of story to tell. If they had just kept SGA, SGU would have died just the same, and SGA would still be running, likely now coming to its proper end.
MGM was planning an SGA movie that would air around the middle of the 3rd season but because of no viewer support for SGU, MGM pulled all funding from existing stargate projects and shut down the SG offices in Vancouver. Thanks fanboys, I love your one sided views and shallow judgements.
Yes, the golden age of TV sci-fi and fantasy is passing, nearly all the shows that dominated evening schedules in the 90s and 00s are but good memories now, though a few are still soldiering on in the face of reality crapovision.
I know! It's all so depressing... makes me wanna just cry. ;~; I feel like there's almost nothing left on TV but reality garbage, stupid contests, and crime dramas (though admittedly I like a couple of those). =\ What is a sci-fi fan to do? ._.
@xadam2dudex SGU is actually quite good if you give it a chance. I am so bummed that they stopped SGU. At first I didn't like it because it was so different and the intro sucked, but halfway into the first season I was finally hooked.
#5 I'm in the middle is from episode 8 season 2 "conversion". #4 That plan sucks from episode 19 in season 2 "inferno". #3 I prefer this from episode 4 season 2 "duet". #2 Rodney! WHAT! from ep 4 "duet". #1 Crap indeed from episode 2 season 2 called intruder.
I like Ronan in these earlier seasons. For some reason, season 4 he adopts a Batman stage voice and becomes very "aloof barbarian" as opposed to the "reckless soldier" they introduced him as. I miss old Ronan.
It would be great if someone put together all the fights... Teal'c and Ronan fights that is! Not just the fight between them, but their individual fights over the years... That would be something to really enjoy watching! :o)
@TcpfMs Besides the P90 and M9 I see a G36K and M60 on their table, M107/M82 behind/left of Sheppard, and mostly M16s in the racks with a few M4s in the right hand rack at the very back... Not sure about a M14 o.o
Nr 3 is the best by far, i laughed until the end of the vid and missed nr 2 and nr 1 hahahahha, ''I prefer this'', (looks into the whole) ''I can see why you would'' HAHAHA fucking hilarious
I don't think those scenes are very funny. No offence! I like the scene in which Dr. Beckett cries about this guy, in "irresistable" of the 3 season.^^ I think that is the funniest scene ever!^^
@xadam2dudex Momoa also played a rather barbaric warlord on the TV series Game of Thrones. I found him very convincing there and believe he will pull of a marvelous Conan.
Me? O.o haha... Just kidding, this is great XD "I Prefer This" Bang-a-blast-a-bigass-hole... "I can see why you would..." ...I need a weapon like that >>

If they had just kept SGA, SGU would have died just the same, and SGA would still be running, likely now coming to its proper end.
different stories all together. i hated sgu. until i netflixed it straight through.
MGM was planning an SGA movie that would air around the middle of the 3rd season but because of no viewer support for SGU, MGM pulled all funding from existing stargate projects and shut down the SG offices in Vancouver. Thanks fanboys, I love your one sided views and shallow judgements.
Walker and Stephens die and you'd think they'd simply lost a shoe. Sucks to be a "red shirt".
Nr 3 is the best by far, i laughed until the end of the vid and missed nr 2 and nr 1 hahahahha,
''I prefer this'',
(looks into the whole)
''I can see why you would'' HAHAHA fucking hilarious
I don't think those scenes are very funny. No offence! I like the scene in which Dr. Beckett cries about this guy, in "irresistable" of the 3 season.^^ I think that is the funniest scene ever!^^
@naradabourne7 It wasnt Thor it was the Azguard from SG1 I cant remember his name
You left out one (from Critical Mass):
Hermiod: "Dr. Kavanaugh..."
Kavanaugh: "Yes?"
Hermiod: "Stop. Talking. Please."
Kavanaugh: "..."
Hermiod: "Thank you."
@xadam2dudex Momoa also played a rather barbaric warlord on the TV series Game of Thrones. I found him very convincing there and believe he will pull of a marvelous Conan.
@icegirld Dont worry they didnt get all of them. (SGA season 5 "first contact"}
Me? O.o
haha... Just kidding, this is great XD
"I Prefer This"
Bang-a-blast-a-bigass-hole...
"I can see why you would..."
...I need a weapon like that >>
@icegirld they were getting too powerful, and we cannot allow the good guys to be more powerful than the bad now can we? that defeats the conflict!
Well don't thank me 'till it works...which...it...probably won't. ROFLMAO!
well, if there is anybody who can recognise computer virus just by looking on many 1´s and 0´s on the screen its definitely Rodney.
#4 Ah, that episode... it was the one that made me hate Sheppard for the rest of the series...
I miss SGA... and SG-1 too =(
@Lindadefreitas probably not. i wonder how long it took whats his name to remember his lines. he says a lot in every episode.
@Lindadefreitas yes there is. hes name is antero mertaranta
@scorand... you may mean, when McKay/Cadman kissed Beckett? Because I only remember Liz kissing Shep in "The Long Goodbye".
@Lindadefreitas I know I can. sometimes not very often I can speak about 3 times as fast otherwise its twice as fast
do you know what seson is it when rodney is on the mon base and that rock hits the window? that part was so awsome :D
That one asgard actually has a sense of humour and sarcasm lol.
