Hi Marina, I just discover your channel and loved the videos and your voice is super calming :) I wanted to ask you about the tour you had to Salinas Grandes. Could you tell me the name of the company and if it was good for English speakers? Thank you
Thanks for the kind words ☺️ Regarding a tour to Salinas Grandes, I booked it at reception of my hotel and I honestly can’t recommend this approach. The tour was in Spanish which was fine, I could understand 70% of what the guide was telling me. But they never mentioned at reception the tour is only in Spanish. My friend repeated my trip a few months later. She booked the same tour at one of the agencies on the main street and it was twice cheaper and in English. So maybe you’d rather do the same 😉
Is salta humid in the summer ? We can handle dry heat but not Florida kind of humid sticky heat. Do you think a retired couple could live comfortable in Salta on $1500 USD/ month ? $2000 USD / month ? Thx !
That’s a very good budget for Buenos Aires, so I think you’ll have a pretty decent quality of life in Salta. Wasn’t humid when I was there, rather desert 🏜️ 🌵 like climate with hot dry days and cold nights.
I was in August and can definitely recommend it. It’s was cold in Buenos Aires but in Salta daytime temperatures made it feel like summer again. Also, that time of the year it doesn’t rain, so you have lots of sunny days to explore around. And less tourist crowds of course.
I recommend that you visit Jujuy again during carnival season. nice trip!
Thank you ☺️ When is the carnival in Jujuy?
Amazing video in Salta, greetings
