✨Your Suffering Is Not in Vain✨ Hardships in life are never for nothing. Trials are never in vain. When you've lost someone you love, when you or someone you love has been diagnosed with a terrible disease, when your marriage is struggling and/or falling apart, when you’re sad in life because something you greatly desire has not happened yet, and when you're discouraged because something you are dealing with is still present in your life- whatever it is that hurts and grieves you, it is not for nothing, it is not meaningless, and it is not in vain. In God's hands, it has a purpose. Everything you go through can be used by God to build your character, strengthen your heart, and draw you closer to Him- in a way that otherwise would not be, if it wasn't for the valley that you went through (or are going through). Everything you go through can also be used by God to help others. You do not know when or how (or who), but one day you just may see, and perhaps know the purpose of why you experienced what you went through. God has a way of orchestrating life in such a way, that it could only be Him to arrange events and order your steps in such detail, and life only makes sense after the fact- it only makes sense when you look back. The fiery trials of life refine us. They purify us, and it is in the furnace where we experience God's faithfulness in our lives. It is then, when we see that He is God. If you have been born-again, then you belong to Jesus, and He will carry you through till He brings you home to glory. It says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Your story, what you have gone through and may be going through, can be used by God for good in the lives of others- for their blessing, your benefit, and ultimately the glory of God. Pray that God will help you to see the hidden blessing in disguise, the opportunity at hand, and the preciousness of Jesus, no matter what happens in life. Ask God to help you to live with eternity stamped on your eyes, and to help you remember that your light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. When we are looking unto Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith, and we have an eternal perspective, we take the focus off of ourselves and what we presently see and feel (which is temporary), and we establish our feet upon the Rock Jesus Christ, as we fix our eyes on Him. If life is good and everything is going well, praise God, bless His name, and glory be to Him. James 5:13 says, “Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.” And when life is not all we wish it would be, and there's struggle after struggle and obstacles in the road, hold on to Jesus, bless His name, and glory be unto God Who is always worthy to be praised. This man, J. R. Miller, died over 100 years ago, and his writings are spiritual diamonds that are FULL OF PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR DAILY LIVING, NAVIGATING RELATIONSHIPS & DEALING WITH LIFE. They are timeless, because though written over a century ago, it all perfectly applies to life today in our busy, stressful, fast-paced, internet world.
I first found him in 2012, and my life has never been the same. I don't even want to know where my life would be, if I hadn't read his practical advice, which has helped me greatly in my MARRIAGE, PARENTING, FRIENDSHIPS, HOME, & MOST OF ALL, MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. His works are a gift from God, and I'm thankful that Miller was so faithful in writing and leaving this great blessing to the world behind. It speaks for itself.
He was a Christian, and he faithfully points to God and His word, and people will just have to see what he has to say for themselves.
I'm positive, that whatever problem is before you, read through the titles of his works, and click on the one you are facing. Read it during your quiet time, and prayerfully ask God what He wants you to apply and practice.
