A normal size box, with enough room for a tray, and no fiddly cards - all at a decent price. The counters are much improved over the ones in Gettysburg. Looks like another winner from Mark Herman.

Ha! Good to hear you like the counters. I had a repl;y to this video on FB where the guy just hated the new counter design. I like them.

Yeah, I really like the new counters the more I look at them. Can't wait to see how this bigger version of the system feels.

Waiting on my copy. I have to admit the maps look gorgeous. I am especially looking forward to playing Fredericksburg and the Wilderness.

And a cool idea to pick actions where two different battles can be fought on each map.

There's a lot of wilderness in that Wilderness.

Indeed. Aptly named. If it was named today, it would probably get a corporate sponsorship. “The Proctor and Gamble Wilderness”.

Thanks for the unboxing 😀 I have a strange relationship with the series - didn't like Waterloo but now I suspect I didn't understand it. After having played Gettysburg on Steam I really like the system, we will see if I like this one and Baetis Campaign as much as I like Gettysburg. Can't wait to get my copies...

I loved Gettysburg and bounced off Waterloo initially as well. Something about the victory conditions didn't compute for me when I first played it. But since then, I've played Waterloo severall times on Rally-the-troops and come to understand it better and really like it.

@@PushingCardboard Thanks, didn't know it's on Rally the Troops, will need to give it a second look, I might have made some rules mistakes as well when playing as I've found the rules different enough from the 'usual' hex and counter games.

@@przemekbozek If you want to try it on RTT, hit me up for a game. My handle is Grant-Pushingcardboard. I'm still not good at the game, but it's fun to play.

@@PushingCardboard Thanks 😀 I'll pick you up on the offer as wanted to revisit the title. Need to register on the website first, too, as not tried this one yet.

Not so keen on those infantry counters, I have to say

I hear you. At first I didn't like them, then I sort of did. But then I went back and looked at the Gettyburg ones and they are better looking. I like the column vs line idea on the new ones, but the drawings are bleh. Sort of reminds me of old 70s counters.
