    Seeing that Rush of Blood trailer brings back memories. I would GLADLY shovel over 40 dollars for a remastered Rush of Blood. The carnival barker, the sound design, and, dear God, that feeling as you slowly pull into that giant mouth for your next ride you're stuck on. 🤤

    I always did think DriveClub VR added nice variety to the (admittedly slim) racing lineup on PSVR1. It had a couple of sims in Dirt Rally and GT Sport, which were the best overall, but yeah, DriveClub VR offered an arcade-y alternative which is great. Touring Karts gave us the cart racer.
    I caught on late, but additionally, IMO Iron Man VR is actually rather underrated because the flying physics and mechanics were legit, and the story had a solid narrative. Afaik Separation is a PSVR1 exclusive which is also a shame (and surprising, like how did that not make it anywhere else?). IDK how Aces of Thunder will turn out, but in the meantime, I miss Ace Combat 7's VR missions too. There are many more, but it's NUTS how many classics are 100% stuck on the PSVR1 headset while PSVR2 has so few exclusives of its own.

    • @WithoutParole
      @WithoutParole  22 дня назад +2

      Separation was funded by Sony but no one bought it (which is crazy - so good and only $12.99). The dev wanted to bring a remastered version to PC and PSVR2 but he couldn’t get anyone interested in funding it

    • @JoshCzoski
      @JoshCzoski 21 день назад +1

      @@WithoutParole Man that breaks the heart. Separation was really wonderful art and I'm usually not even into that kind of abstract symbolism. It should be more accessible. It has such touching sense of dynamics too.
      I hope the dev gets something out of the fact that many of us who experienced it really appreciated it.

    noooo DANGER BALL was my Mom’s FAVORITE GAME! She was ready to buy a headset for more games like it but there weren’t many. I tried to hype her up to get a ps5 and psvr2 but i think she’s gonna go quest because she wants simple games.. All it needed was multiplayer and more levels! It should have had a full release. I’ve never seen my mother complete ANY game but danger ball. She beat it before me and she’s in her early 60’s

    Déraciné was the first VR game to make me cry. Absolutely fantastic and chilling. The way the sinister nature of the world revealed itself was very FromSoftware, and the connections to Bloodborne are hard to ignore.

Does yours disconnect a lot? i just velcro'ed my wire to the ground so if i pull it i hear and feel the velcro sound before it can damage the ps5 or wire. But i rather have a cool ninety degree plug if yours works gud or good3r. :)

    WANT THE OPTION ENABLED FOR DUAL SENSE FOR ALL GAMES! Different Controllers should be accessable to any who preferr it. Period. If a PVR controller breaks why do have to Brick game play(no vr controllers sell separate). Its dumb! Include dual shock options - free VR from VRAF. (Hoping this gets attention so - starting this as a public protes t in hopes it gets dicussed at some point on the show).

    Would some of the PSVR2 games mentioned not benefit Sony as reverse Hybrid games. Use the remaster of such games to generate more sales on Flat and VR.
    As for Driveclub, was awesome at launch on PS4. Sony and Evolution just really messed up the messaging and launch. The rain and snow effects, wow. Unfortunately I never got to play the VR version, and likely never will as it was de-listed I believe due to licensing issues.

    It’s wild to me that they probably believed they would be starting to roll around in recurrent revenue from Concord right now which would pay for porting a bunch of stuff including VR, but now Concord is just a huge sinkhole of squandered hundreds of millions.

    • @Imhotep397
      @Imhotep397 21 день назад

      @@SB-ln6kb I see your point, but they don’t have and won’t have evidence that, figuratively, $1M spent on a PSVR2 will net $2M at least until they actually grow the platform, which they’re not doing because so much money has been spent on even higher risk projects to begin with.
      If you don’t think the 3/4 of $1B is affecting HOW and WHERE they spending money you’re not wanting to see things clearly.
      The problem is that they shouldn’t have put so much resources into the highest risk live service bucket. Had TLOU 1/2 remakes both included first person VR support it would have cost them little, increased the value of the properties because VR remakes would have represented a valid reason to remake the games even to non-VR gamers and it would have sold PSVR2s.
      If they weren’t cancelling Live-Service games left and right when they green lit the TLOU remakes they wouldn’t have been skimping, pinching pennies to eliminate VR ports. They saw the Walking Dead:SS paid for the sequel and Behemoth and turned a profit on top of that since they kept paying White Moon Dreams to co-develop so there’s no way they would think TLOU PSVR2 wouldn’t have value.

    • @Imhotep397
      @Imhotep397 21 день назад

      @@SB-ln6kb The connection is there: Sony announced the Live service push 3 years ago and heard the negative pushback from fans and employees. They lost critical employees well before all these projects finally went bust.
      Sony had the idea in mind that Concord would fail just because of community apathy back 3 years ago, but leadership decided to push forward anyway. That’s the main reason, I believe, Hiroki Totoki mentioned that failed projects have consequences and was dismayed that management at studios like Bungie weren’t taking accountability for losses by making changes to cut their expenditures. Upper management was already cutting things like Twisted Metal and whatever Deviation was working on and very likely VR development.
      The consequences are always lead to taking less risk. PSVR2 entails more risk than, on paper, than a remaster of an already popular game. It’s short-sighted, but it’s the way pencil pushers operate. They were unwilling to take on more risk because they already gambled big and lost.
      To attempt to salt that away like they were completely clueless until the games actually released and failed doesn’t give Sony any credit. Decisions are made on adjusted projections every day.

    • @Imhotep397
      @Imhotep397 21 день назад

      @@SB-ln6kb I can see your point, to an extent, but it also seems like Sony put a heavy emphasis on drafting 3rd parties to carry the water for VR, and paid some co-development studios like White Moon Dreams and Vr Monkey handsomely for their ports which would reflect Sony’s oldest platform development strategies before they had industry leading IP.
      If I had to guess about it I have to go back to my first thought in that they thought they would address VR later with all the extra money that would be rolling in or at least they could take on more risk.
      At the end of the day a company doesn’t spend 4-6 years of R&D on a piece of hardware, pay to promote it, distribute it and then decide they’d rather not support it.

    • @Imhotep397
      @Imhotep397 21 день назад

      @@SB-ln6kb Portable platforms and platforms that fail to secure critical 3rd party support don’t fundamentally change the fundamental nature of gaming the way that VR does and Sony recognizes it, which why they continue the same pattern of heavy 3rd releases in the fall leading up until the holidays.

    • @Imhotep397
      @Imhotep397 20 дней назад

      @@SB-ln6kb people are afraid of what they don’t understand until they understand it. Sony , as a technology company, has been developing this technology a lot of people don’t understand since the 1990’s.
      Portables and alternate platforms offer more of what people already understand. It should be easy to understand why Sony is committed to VR and why it’s not as popular as it should be.
      PlayStation had a video announcement post viewed by millions about a week and a half ago where the first 3 out 4 games revealed were PSVR2 games.
      AAA publishers aren’t getting involved largely because they would have to develop a second development track as stereo rendering requires them to drop the complexity of game scenes, however with the PS5 Pro and beyond that may no longer be necessary.

    Seeing all this just reminds me how frustrating Sony are when it comes to VR.
    We're talking open goals here, and yes everything isn't that straightforward - but it's like they're utterly blind to what they already have in their possession and so ignorant & stubborn in their ways to what people who invested in PSVR2 actually want from games that come to it.
    Let's be honest here - Farpoint, Wipeout, Rush of Blood and Astrobot would ALL comfortably sit in PSVR2's top 10 best games even as straight ports.
