Mine was hard to get out and one of the small pieces with the side button popped out. I put it back together. But the buttons which seem to be spring loaded will not pop back out to hold the key in place. Any thoughts?

Curious, will the secret key also start the car without the fob?
No. Your car is push button start. There is no where to insert the key. It is used to unlock the door if your fob happens to go dead. To start the car with a dead key fob, you bring the key fob up to the push button and use the fob the push the start button.
