First time getting really into maple this July (never got past CRA lol), and hyperburned a character to 260 Made a party with 3 other friends and we're starting Ctene now (still working on HVHilla and HDarknell) Hoping to get enough arcane drops to be able to get full 17* arcanes with winter starforce events and start black mage I don't care if there are more endgame bosses now. To me, Black Mage is peak Maple, and phase 3 just reinforces that feeling, especially with this bgm
Update: 3 months into liberation, solo'd HLotus to prepare for next month. Got all my arcanes and a cont 4 ring! On track to liberate in March. HWill is the only boss I don't already solo :D
It was fun beating Black Mage for the first time in a party, his mechanics is pretty much like a final boss in platformers. Very fun and well designed fight.
The thing that makes me in awe. Is that in couple years this would be at the level of magnus right now. In couple years. May the maple world feel some mercy of the rng gods.

Thank God I wa slaying when the black mage event happened. I got to enjoy all of it without having to grind and spend thousands on the game

Lotus has been out for like 5 years and he is Not at the level of Magnus yet, so no, the black mage will never be as mundane as magnus.
bm will likely be 2021 Lucid level in 5 years.
