- This was taken just after how to fix a round cage came out. Some people asked what her story was, as we kept saying she didn't learn it from us. The cage video came out and her first people contacted us. To find out her begginings was spectacular! There's just a few loose ends left now :D Pebble and I both love you all so very very much and hope that you all enjoy the channel!
Now she is in her FOREVER HOME! And we can all tell you are the love of her Life!

A big Bird can be a 100 year commitment. I wish people thought about that before they got one. It's a shame that Pebble has been through so many owners. She looks like she's doing great with you. She's gorgeous.
Agreed. If I ever want a pet bird (doubtful), I'll try to get one with a shorter lifespan so that there isn't a big chance of me dying before the bird
They actually can't live to 100 years. Typically in captivity they live into their 80s. Even shorter in the wild. Unless there's records from way back but right now the oldest living bird in captivity was Cookie and he passed in 2016. He was 83. That's crazy old for a parrot. Still, they out live us.
I rescue and keep my animals for life so I adopted a turtle from a Rescue League who will NEVER ship a Live animal, and you have to sign a contract that when you die the turtle goes back to the Rescue League, and $2000 in escrow for expenses in getting her driven back to Massachusetts. My Yankee is your basic red earred slider but she'll outlive most of us. She's only 9 now. She can live to be 70.
True, i was researching african greys last week and found out they generally live for over 50 yrs. Owning a parrot is a major commitment.

It's a bit of a sad story BUT look at her now: she's happy and healthy and settled and clearly ADORES you (with good reason)!

I am new to this channel but I am loving it, also my dad who has dementia is so bored with the everyday news and I had him over for dinner last night and put Pebbles on and man did he light up, he could not stop laughing 😂. So thank you for sharing Pebbles with us.

People need to understand the responsability to have a living creature, you can't just give or pass along a living being... That is not right.
i have a red tail cockatoo their life span is 80 - 120 years so yes i would prefer to eventually pass her to someone who will love her and spoil her than let her loose in the wild.

Swearing or not, I can't imagine anyone not loving her and wanting her around! My Chloe was dumped cuz some guys gf said me or the bird... I told my husband to never say that as he'd be without me. I'm glad she found her way to you!
A few years ago i knew someone who's ex would get jealous and pissed off at her, because he was a hard core druggie and was convinced that she was cheating on him with an old stuffed animal - a Disney character! I couldn't believe it; that dummy is a grown man in his 50's... jealous of an inanimate object, that little kids snuggle up to and huggie, as they fall asleep in a crib!!!!!! Tinker bell sent me a text; she said that fairies stay far away from that kind of crystal. 😵

I work at a bird and exotics clinic, I have seen hundreds of thousands of birds over the years of being a vet tech assistant and boarding animals and I can tell you right now pebbles it the PERFECT example of the top physical health a cockatoo should be ! She’s gorgeous! Love you pebbles !

ive seen quite a few of these peoples/birds videos and one thing is blindingly obvious, that bird really loves this guy, and for that alone i commend him... for anyone that has ever experienced it, there is nothing in this world like an animals love... Unlike us humans an animals love is unconditional and absolutely amazing beyond anything..... my dog i had for 18 years seriously stopped me from suicide once.. not even kidding... Animals are easily the most amazing thing we as humans have ever been given...
+Philie Spiess I agree 100%! Animals are the most amazing creatures on Earth. I think they're meant t. o teach humans the meaning of unconditional love. Sadly tho most humans will never come even close. Ive yet to receive unconditional love from any human that's entered my life because they all seem to Set conditions on the love they show towards others. Love my dogs & cat & birds....and I'm happy to say I tought my cockatiels to only say sweet things like "I love You!!"

My housemate & I adopted a 2 y.o. semi feral cat that got returned twice!
We were giving instructions to not have an other animal & to never let her outside.
For the first six months she hid under the bed, the next months she sometimes came on top of the bed but wouldn’t let us touch her. It took two years before we could pet her, she’s 6 y.o. now & she’s so affectionate, still spicy!
Her nickname became Ginger snap dragon, because the only way we could pet her at first was to grab her scarf (gently) & pet with the other hand, if you didn’t she would turn her head & snap at your hand!
Some people don’t realize that animals have a backstory & they need time & companionship whilst they acclimate to their new home. I’m so happy that you & Pebbles found each other!☺️
Yes, people don't realize what they're getting into with parrots. It takes a special person to have a demanding,loud pet and keep it for life. Parrots are fantastic, so is Pebble but they're a lot of work.They can also outlive their owners since they have a long life span. It's great to see Pebble in a wonderful home with this man who truly loves her. She is a real character, so funny and smart.
Im never giving my moby away I enjoy his loudness he isn’t as loud as pebbles and doesn’t cuss but he has his own personality and he has really bad anxiety I’m not sure why but I am working on getting him a mate
I sincerely hope Pebble will stay wit you for the rest of your life, Kelly. You two deserve each other. My heart breaks just by thinking my U2 would go from place to place to place.

Wow...I am. super Pebble fan, and I' m always showing her videos to my friends. So THIS video came as a huge surprise to me that Pebble has been "passed off" like that! OMG! Such a darling character she is! How could anybody take her for granted and just say goodbye to her??! I love Pebble so much! I have 3 cockatoos and an Amazon and giving them away would be like giving away your kid!

I don't know anything at all about these birds but she is so funny and so entertaining, I can't remember when I laughed so hard at a you tube video, its like therapy, god bless you and your amazing birds.

I just wanted to give you and Pebble congrats for showing us all what a superbird can do. I recently got a superbird myself, GiGi, the African grey, and there is just a lot of ignorance of what it takes to keep a smart and huge personality parrot. I'm very happy how you're showing just how wonderful rescue birds can be. They're wonderful, and much to my surprise getting into this, there are just so many wonderful and beautiful parrots and cockatoos there are still just wanting for good homes in 2022. I hope you and Pebble are doing well. Thank you so much for giving her the love and affection she deserves. (And thank you for coining the term superbird. There's every day that goes by thinking of GiGi as a superbird makes my life more meaningful and appreciative of our feathered friends.)

I'm a lifelong SERIOUS lover of animals and nature...with a special interest and Love of Parrots...especially Cockatoos...Love your channel and website...Wish I were a neighbor [I also LOVE Canada] so I could become a regular volunteer and come by and help clean cages, wash dishes, prepare meals., anything to help your wonderful Rescue...I salute you and your very, very important Mission work..... ^__^

Sad that such a amazing bird went through soo many homes, I kinda like when birds can swear, gives emotion and humour. I have a pet galah that I love to bits, but all he can say is scratch at the moment, well, more demand, heheh. He can whistle and other noises but prefers to scream for fun. He may bite me and wake me up by screaming at passing birds (because it's his yard damnit!) but I wouldn't trade him for the world.

These (and all) animals are so much more deep & soulful than they’ve been given any recognition for-& definitely more than most of the humans I know. Poor sweet baby.

she's amazing to go through all those homes and not have depression.. We had a cockatoo who mutilated herself after my mom took a job out of the house.. My mom found a rescue for birds in the early 2000's.. I often wonder how she is doing

She is an amazing bird and so naturally with you. She obviously feels so comfortable with you and she has alot of fun expressing herself. Like you say they have on average 15 homes in their lifetime. Such beautiful birds and they need beautiful people to look after them long long long term. She makes my day every day just watching her. A credit to you!

Thank-you for rescuing her, that is the good part of this story. The sad part is all the swearing she does she learnt from the people abusing her, and all the swearing they did in front of her. Such sensitive and intelligent birds.

It's very sad to know such intelligent animals that require companionship get passed around like objects, because people buy these animals and don't realise that they will live for a majority of your own life - that it's like having a baby that never grows up, and they're too fucking lazy to put in the effort required for caring for them.
But at least it appears this bird in particular has fortunately found a proper home, who at least seems intent on keeping her forever. It's a shame that there is even an industry to have these animals as pets, as they are not, but at least there are people like you who can take in the ones who are otherwise too domesticated and are without homes.
It is sad. People do that to each other also. Pets don't have any say in the matter. I have a house full of rescues. I never imagined this happened to birds as well.

Some people should not have 'pets'. They are living breathing animals who need a lot of care, every animals does. But a cockatoo, A LOT! We have 2 cockatiels and it takes a lot of work, but we love it. So sad to hear that somebody just bought her and then passed her around homes like she is a toy. Glad to see she has a good home now!

OH WOW, what a story . I thought you had her from a baby the way she loves you. You are doing such a good job with her. What makes peppble unique is that she curses , it catches everyone attension and you breaks out in laughter. Also it does not have a kid in the world who don't know what is a curse word , they just don't say it for adults to hear , so hey what the heck .........I love parrots but Pebbles is my favorite. Birds are not guppies or goldfish! They need special attention, much love, excercise, and really good food. They have special needs unlike a cat or dog! Very few people have the qualities it takes to own a parrot, cockatoo, or canarys. If an employer doesn't like foul mouthedness on a bird, it is they that should be disposed of. I'm foul mouthed when i cook, I'm not chef Ramsay but i cuss when i mess up somehow. Your pet is a family member and if you absolutely love that family member, you'll stand up for them, keep the one or ones that you love, and get a respectable employer. Tell that self righteous employer to go fuck the devil in hell, or somewhere! 🇺🇸💖💕😎😇😇
My guess is maybe they took Pebble to work with them or something and Pebble was swearing around their customers... why else would an employer fire you over your pet? They can't fire you for your pet you have at home that's for sure... I guess not unless you work from home and have clients coming to your home then maybe. But then the employer has no control about what you have in your house as it's not theirs.
