I get what they’re saying about this being experimental, but honestly, Roc has always given us some experimental, off-kilter sounds. “Didn’t Know”, “Wee Ill”, “Peru”, “Gunsense”, “Herringbone”, “Pimp Arrest”, “CVS”, “Saks Fifth”, “The Sauce”... “Thug’s Prayer 2”, “I Shot the King”.... he’s far from staying stagnant in one style or sound; just amazing.

Glad the see Roc is finally getting the credit as one of founding fathers of "the griselda sound". I live in Buffalo and I love GxFR, but Marciano created that style of hip hop over a decade ago.

I really think this is Roc’s best work… This album is a treasure. Not one weak track. Next level production, dope lyrics, smooth flows.

Imma huge Roc fan and to be honest, at first I wasn't feeling this album at first. Took me a few listens before I really got it. But I agree with myke, he was definitely experimenting with the production on this album, not that that's a bad thing. But overall, I really do like this album a lot. Downtown 81, Pimps Don't Wear Rabbits, Eye of Whorus, Wicked Days, and Mt Marci are my standout tracks.
Also yeah Action Bronson dropped an album in September called Only for Dolphins
I dunno man I don't get the same feeling from Bronson as I used to, hearing him rhyme on dr. lector, well done, blue chips and rare chandeliers

@@postnutregret Really? i thought school kinda outdid Roc on that song by a little. his delivery was sharp and that beat it matched perfectly.
The verses were great but the song in itself was the weakest of the CD. The beat wasn't that good and went on too long without variation.
The album is one of the best this year though. The way Roc was singing on some of the tracks like Steel Vagina, it definitely sounded like he experimented, immaculate track. Boadway Billy, Wicked Days and Mt. Marci complete was favourite tracks. He always does that shit when he drops a late album that fucks up your aoty top lmao, same as YOD.
